System and methods for enhanced multimedia in VoIP networks
Calls placed to a call recipient bypass the terminating messaging system, creating an enhanced message in the call originator's messaging system and delivering the enhanced message using alternate routing information. A caller creates enhanced messages for a call recipient even when the call recipient's messaging system does not support such functionality. The caller also embeds stored content and/or use links in the enhanced messages to allow the message to be modified and/or deleted before it is accessed by the call recipient.
Sound Localization for an Electronic Call
During an electronic call between two individuals, a sound localization point simulates a location in empty space from where an origin of a voice of one individual occurs for the other individual.
Head-mounted display providing binaural sound to localize at an image during a telephone call
During a telephone call between a person and a wearer of a head-mounted display, the head-mounted display provides binaural sound of a voice of the person to the wearer. During the telephone call, the head-mounted display displays an image that represents the person, and the voice of the person externally localizes at the image that represents the person. The wearer provides a command to move localization of the voice of the person during the telephone call.
Computer-Implemented System And Method For Delivery Of Group Messages
A computer-implemented system and method for delivering group messages is provided. Users that are signed-on to and signed-off from one or more discussion groups are tracked. A voice message is received from one of the users signed-on to one of the discussion groups. A list of users associated with the discussion group is obtained and a sublist of signed-on users including those users from the list that are signed-on to the discussion group is built. The voice message is provided to the signed-on users of the discussion group and a copy of the voice message is stored for later access by the users in the discussion group that are signed-off
Converged Voice Mail Services
Novel tools and techniques for providing enhanced services to telephone subscribers with multiple telephone lines, which can include one or more traditional telephone lines, wireless telephone lines, Internet protocol-based telephone lines, and/or the like. For example, certain tools can provide a subscriber with a unified voice mailbox for a plurality of the subscriber's telephone lines. In some cases, the subscriber does not need to check multiple voice mailboxes (each associated with one of the subscriber's telephone numbers) in order to ensure that the subscriber has received all messages intended for that subscriber. Instead, any incoming call on any of the subscriber's lines can be routed to a converged voice mailbox for easy retrieval by the subscriber of all messages from one location. Some tools employ a VoIP switch to handle routing of the incoming call to the correct voice mailbox.
Message backup facilities
Message backup, in which a method initiates establishment of an active telephone call to a voicemail server of a telecommunications service, the voicemail server storing a voicemail message; receives an audio stream from the voicemail server during the active telephone call, the audio stream being part of the active telephone call, wherein the voicemail message is played back as part of the audio stream; initiates recording of at least a portion of the audio stream of the active telephone call, the portion of the audio stream comprising the voicemail message; and streams the portion of the audio stream from the computer system to a remote system.
Computer-Implemented System and Method For Facilitating Call Sessions Via Messages
A computer-implemented system and method for facilitating call sessions via messages is provided. Two or more call sessions are monitored and each call session is processed by receiving speech utterances from one of the participants and transcribing the speech utterances into text. The transcribed speech utterances are provided to another participant in the call session. Text messages from the other participant are received in response to the transcribed speech utterances and provided to the participant as synthesized speech. During each call session, an ongoing log of messages including the transcribed speech utterances and the text messages for that call session is generated. Annotations from one or more of the participants to that call session are added to the call log.

PROVIDING ENHANCED CALL CONTENT
One example may include receiving a message with call data for a future call between a calling party and a called party, identifying a profile identifier from the call data identifying an enhanced call information profile associated with the calling party, and creating a call message header with a code object having the enhanced call information to include with a call message when placing the future call.
Semiautomated Relay Method and Apparatus
A method and system for assessing captioning quality of a call assistant (CA) that transcribes a hearing user's (HU's) voice signal during a call with an assisted user (AU) into caption text, the method comprising the steps of receiving an HU voice signal at a relay, providing the HU voice signal to a first CA to transcribe into first caption text, providing the first caption text to a second CA for correction, the text corrected by the second CA being a true text caption and comparing the first caption text to the true text caption to identify a quality factor associated with the first caption text.
