In a control method for a processing apparatus connected to an image reading apparatus, in a case where the processing apparatus receives a cancellation instruction while the image reading apparatus performs a reading step, the processing apparatus causes the image reading apparatus to terminate the reading step and deletes image data of a page being read, and in a case where the processing apparatus receives a cancellation instruction after the image reading apparatus has performed the reading step, the processing apparatus performs controlling processing for deleting image data that has been acquired in the last reading step and has yet to be stored.

The present invention provides an information processing apparatus and a method of controlling the same. A web application of a scan system provides confirmation data associated with a scan data destination to a post source of a scan-related message through a message sharing system. An image processing apparatus transmits scan data and the input confirmation data to the web application. When the input data transmitted from the image processing apparatus is stored as the confirmation data in the storage, the web application posts the scan data to the destination associated with the confirmation data using the message sharing system.

The present disclosure discloses methods and systems for managing multiple scan requests received at a multi-function device. The method includes receiving a scan request from a remote computing device of a remote user. Before executing the scan request, two conditions are checked. It is checked if document is present on a scanning platform of the multi-function device and further it is checked if one or more activities on a user interface of the multi-function device, are being performed. Based on the presence of the document on the scanning platform and the one or more activities on the user interface, the scan request received from the remote user is disallowed. This way, multiple scanned requests are managed at the multi-function device.

The computer-readable instructions, when executed by a controller of the terminal device, cause the terminal device to: acquire scan data generated by a push scan process of a scanner from a server via the communication interface, the push scan process being a process of causing the scanner to generate the scan data and uploading the generated scan data to the server; acquire, via the communication interface, job information in the push scan process, an address corresponding to the terminal device being specified as a destination of the scan data; and display an execution state of the push scan process on the user interface based on the job information.
