A portable electronic device with a touch screen display for photo management is disclosed. One aspect of the invention involves a computer-implemented method in which the portable electronic device displays an array of thumbnail images corresponding to a set of photographic images. The device replaces the displayed array of thumbnail images with a user-selected photographic image upon detecting a user contact with a corresponding thumbnail image in the array. The user-selected photographic image is displayed at a larger scale than the corresponding thumbnail image. The portable device displays a different photographic image in replacement of the user-selected photographic image in accordance with a scrolling gesture. The scrolling gesture comprises a substantially horizontal movement of user contact with the touch screen display.

An image captured by a camera can be processed by a scanning application to identify one or more regions within the image that are suitable for scanning. One or more of these regions can be selected for scanning automatically based on user-input such as a fingertip touch to a particular portion of the display screen. Users may also select multiple regions and submit multiple quadrangular regions for scanning to PDF from a single image.

The electronic apparatus includes a first circuit board on which a circuit mounted, a second circuit board arranged close to the circuit on the first circuit board, and a conductive terminal, which is in contact with a ground pattern on the first circuit board, and is arranged at a location between the circuit and the second circuit board so as to extend over the circuit.

A method for proactively creating an image product includes capturing an image of an object in a first environment by a device, storing a library of personalized products each characterized by a product type, automatically recognizing the object in the image as having a product type associated with the library of personalized products, automatically creating a design for the personalized product of the product type using personalized content, automatically displaying the design of the personalized product of the product type incorporating the selected photo in the first environment on the device, and manufacturing a physical product based on the design of the personalized product.

A device displays a user interface of the social network platform, including status updates of users, a photo uploading region, and an input region for entering status updates of a user. The device presents recommended photos for upload in the photo uploading region. The recommended photos are selected by dividing photos in the photo library into one or more groups based on photographing location and photographing time, where, if a photographing location of a photo is not a regular location associated with a user of the device, the photo is grouped based on a common photographing location, and if the photographing location of the photo is a regular location associated with the user of the device, the photo is grouped based on a common photographing time. Photos are selected from at least one group as a recommended photo in the photo uploading region.

An electronic device, such as a digital camera, includes a deletion mode whereby a camera/electronic device user can delete captured images or data files that have already been transferred in order to make room in the electronic device or digital camera memory for capturing further images. In one embodiment, a digital camera keeps track of which images have already been transferred to an external storage device and presents those to the user as potential images to be deleted. In another embodiment, the user is presented with a delete all transferred images which when selected deletes all the captured images that have already been transferred. In still another embodiment, deletion criteria are used to prioritize which images are deleted first.

An electronic picture frame and an image display method thereof are provided. In the electronic picture frame, a plurality of images are arranged and displayed on one side of a screen, and among the plurality of images, an image at a particular position is enlarged and displayed. Alternatively, a screen is divided into a plurality of sub-screens, so images stored in each of a plurality of storage areas can be displayed on a respective sub-screen. Accordingly, the images stored in the plurality of storage areas can be displayed on the electronic picture frame in diverse forms.
