PATTERN AND SPECTRUM SECURITY ONE-TIME PRINTING OF PACKAGING VERIFICATION METHOD
A pattern and spectrum security one-time printing of packaging verification method for verifying the authenticity of an external packing container of a commodity, which external packing container is printed with a security pattern on the surface using a specific spectrum of tangible fluorescent ink. The user checks the location of the security pattern by visualizing the tangible fluorescent ink on the external packing container, and then uses image capturing device to shoot the security pattern through a filter to capture the pattern image of the tangible fluorescent ink, a processor of the identification system loads in the captured pattern image, a software program in the processor matches the spectral band and shape of the captured pattern image with storage data in the database to verify the authenticity of the security pattern. The user can identify the authenticity of the commodity, enhancing commodity security and reducing the risk of being forged.
HINT-BASED QUERIES
In one example, a method is disclosed in which a user may be enabled to scan a hint associated with a query via an application in an electronic device. The hint may include unreadable data and provided at a predefined location on a medium. Further, readable data may be generated by the application from the scanned hint. The readable data may include information to assist in comprehending the query. Furthermore, the readable data may be rendered by the application on at least one of a physical medium and a display of the electronic device.
Display device providing feedback based on image classification
A digital image display device comprising: a display screen; a processor; a network connection for receiving digital media assets provided by a plurality of individuals; an image memory; a user interface for receiving input from a user of the digital image display device; and a program memory. The program memory stores instructions to execute the steps of: receiving a digital media asset; displaying the received digital media asset on the display screen; determining an asset classification for the displayed digital media asset; selecting a set of classified feedback message choices responsive to the determined asset classification; displaying the selected set of feedback message choices, receiving input from the user to select a particular feedback message choice; and providing an indication of the selected feedback message to the individual who provided the displayed digital media asset.
Encoding signals in color designs for physical objects
The present disclosure relates generally to encoding signals for spot colors. In one implementation a substitute spot color+CMY tint is selected to replace an original spot color. The CMY tint can be transformed to carry an encoded signal. Of course, other features, combinations and technology are described herein.
Methods and systems for embedding one or more scanned pages as object in a scanned document
The present disclosure discloses methods and systems for embedding one or more scanned pages in a scanned document. The method includes receiving a document for scanning, the document includes a plurality of pages. Each page of the document is scanned. Then, a scanned document is created. A user interface is presented to a user to receive one or more page numbers corresponding to one or more scanned pages of the document to be embedded, a page number where the one or more scanned pages are to be embedded, and a location where the one or more scanned pages are to be embedded. Based on the received details, the one or more scanned pages are embedded as object at the page location in the scanned document. A final scanned document is created including the one or more scanned pages as embedded objects and the remaining pages as visible scanned pages.
CUSTOMER-LEVEL LIFETIME VALUE
Techniques are disclosed to identify a form document in an image using a digital fingerprint of the form document. To do so, the image is evaluated to detect features of the image. For each feature, a pixel is plotted in a second image. The second image is the digital fingerprint of the form. To identify the form corresponding to the digital fingerprint, the digital fingerprint may be compared to digital fingerprints of known forms.
IMAGE CAPTURING DEVICE AND METHOD THEREOF
An image capturing device is provided comprising an image sensor for capturing a first image of a scene, a light source for illuminating the scene with a first flash of coded light, and a network interface for communicating with a communications network and/or a further image capturing device. The device is operative to encode information into the first flash, enabling retrieval of the first image from a first data storage, capture the first image, and store the first image in the first data storage. Optionally, the device may be operative to detect a second flash of coded light emitted by the further image capturing device, decode information enabling retrieval of a second image captured by the further image capturing device from a second data storage, retrieve the second image, and create a 3D model from the first image and the second image.
Methods and arrangements for adaptation of barcode reading camera systems for digital watermark decoding
Imagery captured by a point-of-sale scanner (e.g., in a supermarket) for purposes of barcode decoding, is contrast-enhanced preparatory to use for watermark decodingdespite the fact that such operation may sometimes result in contrast between certain pixels being diminished. A great variety of other features and arrangements are also detailed.
DATA HIDING FOR SPOT COLORS ON SUBSTRATES
The present disclosure relates generally to data hiding for retail product packaging and other printed objects such as substrates. One embodiment embeds an information signal in a spot color for printing on various substrates. The spot color is screened, and overprinted with process color tint. The tint is modulated prior to overprinting with optimized signal tweaks. The optimization can include consideration of a detector spectral dependency (e.g., red and/or green illumination). Many other embodiments and combinations are described in the subject patent document.
