An image processing apparatus includes a first adjustment unit for adjusting a color conversion table, used for converting a color to be printed by a printer, by adjusting a selected adjustment color using the selected adjustment color and a target color, a storage unit for storing, in a storage apparatus, a first color conversion table generated by causing the first adjustment unit to adjust the color conversion table for a first adjustment color and a second color conversion table generated by the first adjustment unit to adjust a second adjustment color different from the first adjustment color after generation of the first color conversion table, a cancellation unit for deleting an adjustment result of the first adjustment color, and a second adjustment unit for adjusting the second color conversion table in response to the deletion of the adjustment result of the first adjustment color.

A system and method for visually enhancing an original image of an eye includes a visualization module. A controller is configured to convert an output of the visualization module to a first pixel cloud in a first color space and map the first pixel cloud to a second pixel cloud in a second color space. The method includes identifying at least one selected zone in the second color space. The controller is configured to move the selected zone from an original location to a modified location in the second color space. The second pixel cloud is updated to obtain a modified second pixel cloud, which is transformed into a third pixel cloud in the first color space. An enhanced image is formed based in part on the modified second pixel cloud and provides selective visual enhancement in the selected zone without affecting contrast in a remainder of the original image.

A non-transitory recording medium for an information processing apparatus having a computer program that, when executed by a hardware circuitry of the information processing apparatus, causes the information processing apparatus to request an image forming apparatus to print a document by executing steps of receiving a position of a specific color area which is printed with a specific color; and sending information of the specific color area including the received position of the specific color area and data of the document to the image forming apparatus.

A multifunction machine as an image forming apparatus according to the present invention has a color correction function as an auxiliary function of a copying function. According to this color correction function, an expression color of each pixel that constitutes an output image is assigned to any one of color shades in a number of 70. Then, a color correction setting screen in which 70 patches corresponding to the assigned color shades are disposed is displayed on the display. Each of the patches functions as an operator for setting a correction value for density of the corresponding color shade. Then, color correction processing is executed on the basis of a setting content on the color correction setting screen or at an appropriate stage in a process of generating data for printing.

An operating method of an image forming apparatus includes: receiving an input to select a selective eco mode which selectively applies an eco mode during an image forming job of a document; obtaining at least one area to be excluded from application of the eco mode from a preview of the document according to execution of the selective eco mode; generating a mask in which an area corresponding to at least one area of the document is set in an array corresponding to a preview image of the document, based on information about the at least one area of the document; and outputting the document to which the selective eco mode is applied based on the mask.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium stores computer-readable instructions. The instructions instruct a computer to perform processes including an acquisition step and a color chart creation step. The acquisition step includes acquiring a specified color. The color chart creation step includes creating a color chart in which a plurality of color patches are arranged. The color patches are based on the specified color acquired by the acquisition step and have a color within a color gamut that is based on print settings of a printer. The color chart creation step includes creating a first color chart and a second color chart. The first color chart is the color chart based on first print settings of the printer. The second color chart is the color chart based on second print settings of the printer different from the first print settings.

The present disclosure relates generally to data hiding for retail product packaging and other printed objects such as substrates. One embodiment embeds an information signal in a spot color for printing on various substrates. The spot color is screened, and overprinted with process color tint. The tint is modulated prior to overprinting with optimized signal tweaks. The optimization can include consideration of a detector spectral dependency (e.g., red and/or green illumination). Many other embodiments and combinations are described in the subject patent document.

A method performed by an image forming apparatus is provided. The method includes receiving an input of selecting a first color from a first color image, scanning, a reference image including at least one reference color that is used to reproduce a color, receiving an input of selecting a second color from the at least one reference color, based on scan color data in which characteristics of the image forming apparatus obtained by scanning a color compensation chart representing a color space have been reflected, determining a second color scan value of the second color as a second color value of the second color from which the characteristics of the image forming apparatus have been removed, and converting a first color value of the first color into the second color value of the second color and outputting the first color image having the second color instead of the first color.
