A light emitting apparatus including a substrate, a first and a second light emitter, a first mirror that reflects light from first light emitter, a second mirror that reflects light from second light emitter, and a support member that has a first and second hole and supports the first and second mirror. The first and second light emitter each include a first semiconductor layer, a second semiconductor layer having conductivity type different from the conductivity type of first semiconductor layer, and a light emitting layer provided between the first and second semiconductor layer. The first semiconductor layer forms a plurality of columnar sections. The plurality of columnar sections of the first light emitter and the second light emitter are disposed in the first and second hole respectively. The first mirror and second mirror are provided at the side surface of support member that defines the first and second hole respectively.

A video projection method of the present disclosure is a video projection method by a video projection system including a first projector, a second projector, and a controller that transmits video data to the first projector and the second projector. The first projector projects first projection video whose projection position moves in a first region based on the video data transmitted from the controller, the second projector projects second projection video onto a second region based on the video data transmitted from the controller, and at least one of resolution and brightness of the first projection video is adjusted in a superimposed region where the first region and the second region overlap.

A laser projection device that includes at least one laser diode for generating at least one laser beam, and at least one movable mirror element for deflecting the at least one laser beam. The laser projection device includes at least one control and/or regulation unit that is designed to control and/or regulate a brightness of the at least one laser beam as a function of a relative deflection speed of the at least one laser beam.

An image projector includes a projecting section, a support section, an exterior section, a first heat conductor, and a second heat conductor. The projecting section projects an image, and includes an image forming section that forms the image. The support section supports the projecting section, and includes a projecting section placement face on which the projecting section is disposed. The exterior section covers the projecting section and the support section. The first heat conductor is disposed between the projecting section and the support section. The second heat conductor is disposed between the support section and the exterior section. The first heat conductor is disposed so as to at least partially overlap the image forming section in a plan view of the projecting section placement face.
Parameter adjusting method and projector
A parameter adjusting method is applied to a projector having an ambient light sensor, a database and a digital micromirror device. The parameter adjusting method includes analyzing a detection signal generated by the ambient light sensor to acquire an environmental light datum, comparing the environmental light datum with a lookup table of the database to compute at least one compensation parameter, and adjusting an amount of reflection light generated by the digital micromirror device in accordance with the at least one compensation parameter for controlling the projector to output a calibrated projection image in response to compensation of the environmental light datum.

A display apparatus of the present disclosure includes: a first optical system that generates illumination light whose light emitting luminance is variable; a light modulation unit that transmits the illumination light from the first optical system and whose transmissivity is variable; a second optical system that includes a light modulation device and optically modulates the illumination light from the first optical system by using a pulse width modulation technology, the illumination light having passed through the light modulation unit; and a control unit that controls the light emitting luminance of the illumination light from the first optical system and the transmissivity of the light modulation unit in any combination.

A projection video display apparatus includes a video input unit, a light source, a display element, a projection optical system, and a variable light adjusting function which changes the amount of light incident on the display element. Display modes using the variable light adjusting function are prepared, and one display mode of the display modes can be selected from a menu screen. Further, the display modes of the display video using the variable light adjusting function includes: a first display mode where the input video is displayed while changing a light adjusting amount in accordance with light adjusting control information, which is input from external equipment and is capable of controlling the variable light adjusting function in unit of frame of a projected video; and a second display mode where the input video is displayed while changing a light adjusting amount in accordance with the input video.

A projector of the present invention includes a light source unit including a semiconductor light emitting element and a color wheel and emitting lights in first and second wavelength ranges in time division, a display device receiving light source light to form image light, a projection optical system for projecting the image light onto a projection target, a delay time setting module for shifting a start timing of a color mixing period when the lights in the first and second wavelength ranges are emitted in a mixed fashion in a spoke period of the color wheel during which emissions of the lights in the first and second wavelength ranges are switched over based on an index indicating a brightness of light from the light source unit, and a light source driving module for driving the light source unit based on a setting set by the delay time setting module.
Direct projection multiplexed light field display
A multiplexed light field projector device and a multiplexed light field display to output a light field image is described. The projector has a projector base with a projection optical system configured to output light rays to form a projected image, a collimating optical system configured for collimation of the projected image light rays to form a second projected image, which is directed to a display optical system to produce a light field image. Light field projector devices or alternative projector devices may be used individually or in combination with one or more other projectors which can be arranged to form a multiplexed direct projection light field display. The arrangement of projector devices may have an individual or shared display optical system.
Methods and systems for high dynamic range image projectors
Projection systems and/or methods for efficient use of light by recycling a portion of the light energy for future use are disclosed. In one embodiment, a projection display system is disclosed comprising a light source; an integrating rod that receives light from said light source at a proximal end that comprise a reflective surface which may reflecting/recycle light down said integrating rod; of reflecting light down said integrating rod; a relay optical system, said relay optical system further comprising optical elements that are capable of moving the focal plane of the projector display system; and a modulator comprising at least one moveable mirror that reflects light received from the integrating rod in either a projection direction or a light recycling direction.
