An image that is based on an image with a first resolution is displayed on a selection screen, a display unit is caused to display a confirmation screen for confirming a processing target image selected on the selection screen, control is performed to generate an image with a second resolution higher than the first resolution and to display the generated image on the confirmation screen, and control is performed to extract an image having a first format and corresponding to the processing target image from a first image file, and to record the extracted image and the image with the second resolution, as a second image file.

An imaging apparatus includes an imaging unit, a first image processor, and a second image processor. The imaging unit sequentially acquires image frames whose photography conditions have been changed. The first image processor generates moving image data by performing image processing to maintain continuity between the image frames obtained by changing the photography conditions. The second image processor composes the image frames whose photography conditions have been changed, to generate condition-changed still image data.

A method receives a video sequence including a visually perceptible item and selectively causes a display device to present the video sequence at any given time in one of a plurality of modes, including a first mode and a second mode. A user speech interface for interactive media guidance applications, such as television program guides, guides for audio services, guides for video-on-demand (VOD) services, guides for personal video recorders (PVRs), or other suitable guidance applications is provided. Voice commands may be received from a user and guidance activities may be performed in response to the voice commands.

In another embodiment, the user is presented with a delete all transferred images which when selected deletes all the captured images that have already been transferred. In at least one embodiment provided herein, an image processing apparatus includes a determining unit configured to selectively determine from a plurality of data formats a data format of still image data generated from un-development moving image data which may have a readjustable focal position, an instructing unit configured to instruct to output the still image data, and a generating unit configured to generate from the un-development moving image data the still image data in the data format determined by the determining unit in a case where the instructing unit instructs to output the still image data.

A multimedia file and methods of generating, distributing and using the multimedia file are described. Multimedia files in accordance with embodiments of the present invention can contain multiple video tracks, multiple audio tracks, multiple subtitle tracks, data that can be used to generate a menu interface to access the contents of the file and meta data concerning the contents of the file. Multimedia files in accordance with several embodiments of the present invention also include references to video tracks, audio tracks, subtitle tracks and meta data external to the file. One embodiment of a multimedia file in accordance with the present invention includes a series of encoded video frames and encoded menu information.
