LIFTING THREAD WITH STRETCHABLE VARIABLE PORTION
A suture thread for use in a lifting procedure according to the present invention is characterized by comprising: fixed portions composed of non-stretchable medical thread, wherein the medical thread is formed on both sides thereof and is fixed to the skin; and a variable portion that is positioned between the fixed portions and imparts structural elasticity, wherein the fixed portions and the variable portions are connected continuously, without a separate connecting structure, to form a single integrated medical thread.
Suture for lifting and manufacturing method thereof
A suture for lifting is disclosed. The suture comprises: a medical fiber yarn; fixing parts formed at one side of the fiber yarn and fixable to the skin; and anchor parts protruding on an outer circumference of the fixing parts, wherein the anchor parts are integrally formed with the fiber yarn by a double injection.
MEDICAL SYSTEMS, DEVICES AND METHODS ADAPTED FOR TISSUE FIXATION AND APPROXIMATING TISSUE DEFECTS
A medical device for approximating and securing tissue without requiring knots includes a lock-head, a strap section, distal protuberance, and a leader section. The device also includes a transition section between the leader and the strap section and a stiffening section proximal to the protuberance. The leader section is used to draw the strap section into the body through small apertures in tissue and the transition section provides a gradual transition in stiffness and size between the leader and the strap section. Tensioner and cutter and a threading tool configured to be slidably removed from a lumen of the tensioner and cutter is provided. A blade within the lumen of the tensioner and cutter is provided to cut excess leader and/or strap when the procedure is completed.
LIFTING COG THREAD
Provided is a lifting cog thread (100) having a predetermined length. The lifting cog thread includes a molded hook portion provided on an outer circumferential surface of the thread. The molded hook portion includes molded recesses (110) and molded protrusions (120) alternating with the molded recesses. The molded hook portion has a spline shape produced by mold processing using a rotational mold processing apparatus. The thread (100) prevents non-uniform pulling in which skin catching force is relatively weakened in a portion of the thread (100).
Medical thread based on ultrasonic production
According to the aspect of the present disclosure, various forms of medical 3D threads produced using ultrasonic waves are provided. Thus, we can expect high satisfaction with the medical 3D threads having high tensile strength and holding power. The medical 3D threads can be produced to have about twice as many barbs as conventional medical threads and can be produced using ultrasonic waves without damaging yarn or making knots. Thus, it is possible to overcome the cause of a decrease in physical strength.
Systems, devices, and methods for testing suture performance under static and dynamic conditions
A system for testing sutures includes a test bench having a rotatable table, a framework supporting the test bench and the rotatable table above a surface, and a continuous passive motion (CPM) machine mounted on the rotatable table. The CPM machine is configured to rotate between a first position in which the CPM machine is upright and located above the rotatable table and a second position in which the CPM machine is inverted and located below the rotatable table. The system includes a fluid supply subsystem for directing an infusion fluid toward the CPM machine, a pump for circulating the infusion fluid in the fluid supply subsystem, a heat exchanger for heating the infusion fluid, a fluid collection tray located below the CPM machine and the rotatable table, and a pressure monitoring subsystem for monitoring a pressure level of the infusion fluid.
SURGICAL STAPLING DEVICE WITH EXTRUSION RESISTANT TOOL ASSEMBLY
A surgical stapling device includes a tool assembly having an anvil assembly having a staple forming surface, a cartridge assembly having a tissue contact surface, and extrusion resistant structure. The extrusion resistant structure is positioned on only one of the staple forming surface of the anvil assembly or the tissue contact surface of the cartridge assembly to reduce the amount of tissue extrusion that occurs when the tool assembly is moved from an open position to a clamped position.
Suture Having Adaptable Surface Characteristics, And Related Systems And Methods
A suture construct that is elongate along a longitudinal direction and configured to change in size from a first configuration to a second configuration includes an outer layer of material that extends along the longitudinal direction and has a plurality of intertwined fibers that comprise a first sub-set of fibers crossed by a second sub-set of fibers at respective intersections, such that the first subset of fibers and the second subset of fibers are configured to reorient relative to each other in a manner causing the outer layer of material to change in one or more of surface texture and visual appearance as the suture construct changes between the first and second configurations.
