Real-Time Wireless Video Delivery System Using A Multi-Channel Communications Link
20200099965 · 2020-03-26 ·

A system described herein provides real-time wireless video delivery using a multi-channel communications link. A method of employing elements of the system includes generating a first set of video data and generating a second set of video data. Further, encoding the first set of video data such that the second set of video data is a higher resolution version of the first set of video data and the encoded first set of video data is to supplement the second set of video data in response to a data drop.

The present disclosure relates to a content supply device, a content supply method, a program, a terminal device, and a content supply system, which are capable of performing rapid zapping between channels. A content supply device according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes a first supply unit configured to generate a zapping stream by delimiting streaming data according to a timing and a duration in common with another channel and to supply the zapping stream to a reception side via a network, a second supply unit configured to generate a viewing stream by delimiting the streaming data according to a duration of an integer multiple of the duration of the zapping stream and to supply the viewing stream to the reception side via the network, and a metafile generating unit configured to generate a metafile that is for the reception side to receive the zapping stream and the viewing stream. The present disclosure can be applied to a system in which content is delivered in a streaming manner.

Methods and apparatus to provide messages to television users

Methods and apparatus to provide messages to consumer electronics devices are disclosed. An example method includes determining an identifier associated with a consumer electronics device from which a request has been received. The method also includes querying a database to determine first and second account identifiers associated with the identifier of the consumer electronics device. When the request is for messaging information stored with a first message provider, a first command is sent to cause the first message provider to forward the messaging information. When the request is for messaging information stored with a second message provider, a second command is sent to cause the second message provider to forward the messaging information. The messaging information received from at least one of the first message provider and the second message provider is sent to the consumer electronics device.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SIGNALING DOWNSAMPLING OFFSET INFORMATION IN VIDEO CODING

A device may be configured to signal downsampling offset information for coded video in a phase indication information message. A device may be configured to receive the phase indication information message. The phase indication message may apply to a current cropped decoded picture and persist for all subsequent pictures of a current layer in output order with the same cropped picture width and cropped picture height as the current cropped decoded picture until a picture in the current layer with an associated phase indication information message and the same cropped picture width and cropped picture height as the current cropped decoded picture is output and follows the current picture in output order.

Spatially-Segmented Content Delivery

Methods and systems are described for processing spatially segmented content originating from a content delivery network. One method comprises a client in a media processing device receiving a spatial manifest information comprising one or more spatial representations of a source stream, each spatial representation identifying one or more spatial segment streams, location information for locating one or more delivery nodes in said content delivery network and, optionally, position information for stitching spatial segment frames in said segment streams into a video frame for display; selecting one or more spatial segment streams and on the basis of said spatial manifest information requesting at least one delivery node in said content delivery network to transmit said one or more selected spatial segment streams to said client; and, receiving said one or more selected spatial segment streams from said at least one delivery node.

Image data having ultra-high definition at a high frame rate is processed to obtain image data, having a basic format, from which an image having high definition at a basic frame rate is to be obtained, image rate, having a first enhancement format, from which an image having high definition at a high frame rate is to be obtained, image data, having a second enhancement format, from which an image having ultra-high definition at a basic frame rate is to be obtained, and image data, having a third enhancement format, from which an image having ultra-high definition at a high frame rate is to be obtained. A basic video stream containing an encoded image data of the image data having the basic format, and a predetermined number of enhancement video streams containing the encoded image data of the image data having the first, second, and third enhancement formats are produced.

Updating an asset within a virtual reality environment

A method executed by a computing entity includes generating a virtual reality environment utilizing a group of object representations by rendering an assessment asset for a first set of object representations to produce first portrayal 3-D video frames of a first piece of information for the virtual reality environment. The method further includes obtaining a first conveyance effectiveness level with regards to the first piece of information based on the first portrayal 3-D video frames within the virtual reality environment. When the first conveyance effectiveness level is less than a minimum conveyance effectiveness threshold level, the method further includes rendering an updated first set of object representations based on the first set of object representations and the first conveyance effectiveness level to produce updated first portrayal 3-D video frames for the first piece of information within the virtual reality environment.
