System and method for geographically associated or geographically disassociated enticing gift or video drop
This application pertains to gift-giving and video-dropping methods and systems. A gift drop or a video drop is facilitated using a mobile smart device and an interactive map. The system includes a gift or video drop database stored in a remote gift drop computer server. The system includes a gift or video drop logic section operable on a smart mobile device or a computer. The gift or video drop logic section includes an interactive gift or video drop map. The gift or video drop logic section presents the interactive gift or video drop map to a user, and facilitates the dropping of a symbolic gift item or a video onto the interactive map. The gift or video drop logic section determines whether the user is within certain predefined geographic boundaries, and either makes visible or gives a symbolic gift item to the user based on their location, or plays the video.
Smart notification for over-the-top (OTT) streaming among multiple devices
A system and method for notifying client devices in a subscriber account that the account is undersubscribed and no further client devices can stream media content until other client devices are no longer actively streaming media content is disclosed herein. The method comprises receiving a request to receive and play the media content from a requesting client device, the requesting client device being one of a plurality of client devices enabled to receive media content according to a subscriber account and determining if the subscriber account is undersubscribed; if the subscriber account is not undersubscribed. If the subscriber account is not undersubscribed, initiating transmission of the media content, and if the subscriber account is undersubscribed, information is transmitted to the requesting client device, the information including data indicating the subscriber account is undersubscribed without initiating the transmission of the media content.
VIDEO MODIFICATION AND TRANSMISSION USING TOKENS
Modified video is distributed to a viewer of a computer-implemented game by causing a processor to distribute, toward a terminal device of a viewer, a first video including an animation of a first avatar of a distributor generated based on motion data; distribute, toward the terminal device, a second video related to a computer-implemented game generated with operation data using a received web page; receive, from the terminal device, token data indicative of a token sent to the distributor from the viewer during execution of one unit section of the game; and distribute, toward the terminal device, the second video including, during one time section occurring after the one unit section of the game ends and before a next unit section of the game begins, a rendering of a token object selected based on the token data.
Stimulating a local experience by live streaming sharable viewpoints of a live event
A system interconnects multiple client devices over a network. A local group of the client devices is located at a live event and a remote group is located remote from the live event. Each client device of the local group is a potential source of a live stream which, when rendered by another client device, causes display of a vantage point of the live event. The system dynamically updates a subscription list to include an indication of any client device of the local group that is actively live streaming and remove an indication of any client device of the local group that terminated live streaming. The system can enable selective access to any live streams of any client device of the updated subscription list and disable access to any live streams of any client device removed from the updated subscription list.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO TEMPORARILY GRANT ACCESS TO A DIGITAL GATEWAY
Systems and methods are provided for temporarily granting access to a digital gateway. One example method includes receiving a request for temporary access to the digital gateway. A temporary access token is generated at a server. The temporary access token is assigned to a user. Access to the digital gateway is granted via the temporary access token. The temporary access token is automatically expired after a pre-set period. Access to the digital gateway is revoked once the temporary access token has expired.
Lock-free sharing of live-recorded circular buffer resources
Novel techniques are described for lock-free sharing of a circular buffer. Embodiments can provide shared, lock-free, constant-bitrate access by multiple consumer systems to a live stream of audiovisual information being recorded to a circular buffer by a producer. For example, when a producer system writes a data stream to the circular buffer, the producer system records shared metadata. When a consumer system desires to begin reading from the shared buffer at a particular time, the shared metadata is used to compute a predicted write pointer location and corresponding dirty region around the write pointer at the desired read time. A read pointer of the consumer system can be set to avoid the dirty region, thereby permitting read access to a stable region of the circular buffer without relying on a buffer lock.
STREAMING SYSTEM DEVICE AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
Systems, devices and processes are provided to facilitate the authentication of media player devices for media streaming. Specifically, the various embodiments provide a media player device authentication technique that monitors the locations of media player devices to determine a pattern of device co-location with a primary device. The media player devices can then be selectively designated as confirmed devices based on their determined pattern of device co-location with a primary media player device. Those media player devices that are designated as confirmed devices can then be selectively enabled for media streaming. Conversely, media player devices that are not designated as confirmed devices based on a pattern of co-location can be prevented from receiving media streams even when they have the correct login information and password.
AUTOMATED ESCALATED POLICY ENFORCEMENT
The present disclosure describes a system and method for providing automated policy enforcement. The system and method may be implemented by a service provider to enforce a policy related to copyright infringement activities. According to an example, the policy may define a system of penalty (strike) levels for violations of the policy up to a maximum number of strikes. When a notification of a policy violation is received, the system may operate to determine whether to issue a strike in association with the notification. When a determination is made to issue a strike in association with a received notification a set of enforcement actions to perform in association with the issued strike may be selected and executed. The set of enforcement actions may terminate detected copyright infringement activities and reduce or otherwise limit the service provider's liabilities when such copyright infringement activities may occur.
On-demand session initiation and management
Methods and systems to provide and manage on-demand sessions are described herein. A request is received from a client to start an on-demand session. It is determined if there are sufficient resources to start the on-demand session for the client. The request is inserted into a queue if there aren't sufficient resources to start the on-demand session for the client. The on-demand sessions is started when there are sufficient resources available and it is the client's turn in the queue.
