Methods for sharing private video streams with first responders under facility administrator control
A method enables video surveillance service subscribers to share image streams with individual first responder agencies in the event of emergency. A customer administrator selects permissions on each camera via privileged web-browser or mobile device. Permissions enable selection by static meta data such as type, audio, location, motion, recognition, spectrum, and epoch. Setting ranges of time controls access to video streams of present and past epochs. Under control by a customer administrator, a virtual machine dedicated to each responding agency instantiates a video server. A camera is shared by a customer administrator's selection of permissions on each camera via privileged web-browser or mobile device. Video streams of present and past epochs are controlled by ranges of time. A notification is customized for each responding agency and each event by dynamically generating a link to a secure webserver which records geo-location or network identifiers for validation.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING MULTI-PART PERSISTENT CONTENT
A method for providing multi-part persistent content includes requesting a content item from a content server, and receiving a first portion of a multi-part content item. The first portion of the multi-part content item is displayed to a user of the client device via a first application executed by the client device. The method also includes providing an authentication token and an identification of a state of execution of the multi-part content item to the content server, and subsequently requesting a second content item, the request comprising the authentication token. The method also includes receiving a second portion of the multi-part content item, the second portion of the multi-part content item displayed to the user of the client device via a different, second application executed by the client device. The second portion is selected by the content server based on the state of execution of the multi-part content item.
Method and apparatus for secure transfer and playback of multimedia content
A method and apparatus for secure transfer and playback of multimedia content enables the secure transfer of multimedia content from a digital video recorder (DVR) to a personal computer (PC) and further to a handheld device. A DVR determines which devices on a Local Area Network (LAN) are authorized to share and/or retrieve content from the DVR. The DVR receives a connection request from a PC on the LAN, authorizes the connection request and establishes a secure connection between the DVR and the PC. Once the secure connection is established, the DVR receives a request for multimedia content from the PC, prepares the multimedia content for transfer and transfers the multimedia content to the PC.
Verifying the rendering of video content at client devices using trusted platform modules
Systems and methods for verifying the rendering of video content on information resources are provided herein. A server can transmit a video content element having a first bit stream corresponding to a predesignated frame to a client device. The client device can identify the first bit stream as corresponding to the predesignated frame. The client device can decode the first bit stream corresponding to the predesignated frame of the video content element to generate a second bit stream. The client device can transmit, to the server, a tracking message including the second bit stream. The server can compare the second bit stream included in the tracking message from the client device with a third bit stream maintained at a database. The server can determine that the video content element is rendered at the client device responsive to the second bit stream matching the third bit stream.
Methods, systems, and media for presenting media content items using multiple devices
Mechanisms for presenting media content items using multiple devices are provided. In some embodiments, methods for presenting media content are provided that include: detecting an offer to initiate a purchase of a content item being presented using the media device, wherein the media device has not been authenticated with a content service that provides the content item; in response to detecting the offer to initiate the purchase of the content item when the media device has not been authenticated with the content service that provides the content item, causing the media device to be discoverable by one or more mobile devices that are connected to a same local area network as the media device; encoding offer data corresponding to the detected offer to initiate the purchase of the content item; in response to receiving a status request from a mobile device that is connected to the same local area network as the media device, transmitting the encoded offer data associated with the purchase of the content item to the mobile device, wherein the encoded offer data causes a payment user interface to be presented on the mobile device; receiving a cast request from the mobile device to cast the content item on the media device; and in response to the cast request, executing a receiver application on the media device that accepts the cast request from the mobile device and causes the content item to be presented using the media device.
TECHNIQUES FOR SECURING LIVE POSITIONING SIGNALS
A pay television satellite broadcast includes validation data that can be used to validate authenticity of live global positioning system (GPS) data. The validation data may be included within entitlement messages and encrypted for security and selective reception by authorized receivers. A navigation system may compute checksums of received live GPS data and compare with the validation data for a match. A decision about whether or not to use the live GPS data may be taken based on whether or not the computed checksums match the validation data received via the pay television satellite broadcast signals.
System and method for supporting multiple identities for a secure identity device
A multiple-identity secure device (MISD) persistently may store an identification code. The identification code may be stored in an integral memory of the device, or on an interchangeable card received in a physical interface of the MISD. The MISD may generate one or more unique identities (e.g., network addresses) from the stored identification code. The generated identities may be dynamically generated or may be securely stored in the MISD for subsequent retrieval. The generated identities may generates in accordance with an addressing scheme, a global/network setting, or as determined from a received data transmission.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO DELIVER CONTENT DURING CLIENT AUTHENTICATION PROCESS IN A DISTRIBUTED COMPUTING SYSTEM
A method includes receiving, by a content distribution network server, a first request for content, the first request for content comprising an identifier of a location of the content. Playback of the requested content is caused to begin at a client device. A content-based authentication token generated by the client device is received, wherein the content-based authentication token is associated with a second request for content that is initiated by the client device, and the content-based authentication token is sent for verification by a content sharing platform. Responsive to receiving an indication that the content-based authentication token is valid, playback of the requested content is caused to continue at the client device.
