A content viewing method uses a viewing system including a content distribution server distributing contents, a mobile information terminal, and a viewing device reproducing a content. The mobile information terminal transmits user identification information and a user password to the content distribution server. The content distribution server authenticates the mobile information terminal based on the user identification information and the user password. The mobile information terminal transmits an account issue request requesting an account for reproducing a desired content to the content distribution server. The content distribution server issues the account based on the account issue request and transmits the account to the mobile information terminal. The mobile information terminal stores the account. The mobile information terminal transmits the account by short-range wireless communication. The viewing device stores the account received by short-range wireless communication. The viewing device reproduces the desired content using the stored account.

A method and system includes an external service provider that receives a request for restricted content, forms, at the external service provider, a redirection request based on the request for restricted content, an external service provider identifier, and a return response location identifier. The system also includes a discovery service that receives the redirection request from the external service provider and parses the redirection request to obtain an identity provider location identifier and the external service provider identifier when a common domain cookie exists in the redirection request. The discovery service generates a response based on the return response location identifier wherein the response comprises the identity provider location identifier. The external service provider receives the response, generates an authentication request and communicates the authentication request to the identity provider based on the identity provider location identifier.

Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for real-time enablement of over-the-top media service applications. An embodiment operates by receiving a device identifier from a customer device including a disabled third-party over-the-top (OTT) application, determining a verification status of the customer device based on the device identifier, determining a customer identifier associated with the customer device, and determining an entitlement status based on the customer identifier. The embodiment further operates by assigning a vendor-issued identifier to the customer identifier, generating a third-party token based on the verification status and the entitlement status, and sending the third-party token to the customer device and a third-party service associated with the disabled third-party OTT application. In some embodiments, the customer device and the third-party service may perform a handshake using the third-party token to enable the disabled OTT third-party application on the customer device.

The present disclosure relates to an image display device, a system, and an operation method thereof. The image display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a display configured to display an image; a user input interface unit configured to receive a user input; a communication interface unit configured to have at least one communication module, and transmit and receive a signal including data; a memory; and a controller configured to transmit and receive data to and from an external device through the communication interface unit, wherein the controller performs an authentication procedure for a first external device, based on data related to the image display device received from the first external device through the communication interface unit, receives data related to a second external device and at least one control command related to control of the second external device from the first external device, through the communication interface unit, when the authentication procedure is completed, and transmits a control signal for a control command corresponding to a user input to the second external device, through the communication interface unit, based on data related to the second external device, when the user input corresponding to any one of the at least one control command is received. In addition, various embodiments are possible.

Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a media server having a processing system including a processor; and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, facilitate sending a data stream to a display device. The data stream may include an identification thereof. Upon receiving the identification from a user, the media server associates the data stream with the user. The media server may send to the user, a listing of the media services to which the user has subscribed. Upon receiving, from the user, a selection of a selected media service, the media server streams the selected media service to the display device over the data stream. The data stream may be controlled with the user for as long as the media server detects the user in a vicinity of the display device. Other embodiments are disclosed.

A method and system for datacasting and content management. Such a system may have, as its core, a dashboard system for managing data feeds. A dashboard system may receive data feeds from one or more associated devices, such as the hardware devices of first responders or other public safety officers, and may aggregate and prioritize them. The dashboard system may then manage, prioritize and encrypt the video, files and other data in preparation for broadcast over the television or satellite transmitter, via, for example, a television broadcasting station, and may then broadcast the video, files, or other data to a plurality of users. Alerts and notifications may be created, files attached and links to video streams distributed over this same broadcast network. The broadcasting system may be able to send multiple streams of content simultaneously, may be able to target specific users to be broadcast to, and may be able to incorporate data from public data sources, such as public security cameras.

A method of controlling delivery of video programs from video distribution equipment to video receiver devices includes receiving messages at the video distribution equipment from a mobile terminal operated by a user. The messages contain user defined identifiers that are associated with equipment identifiers of different ones of the video receiver devices. The user defined identifiers are stored associated with the equipment identifiers in a subscriber account. Delivery of video programs from the video distribution equipment to the video receiver devices is controlled in response to commands received from the mobile terminal which request delivery of identified video programs to identified ones of the user defined identifiers. The content distribution server comprises: a distribution unit that distributes live content for synthesizing video in virtual space using information from the distributor as virtual character information; and a first setting receiving unit that receives from the distributor terminal used by the distributor public disclosure restriction settings for establishing restrictions on objects present in virtual space displayed on the distributor terminal that can be viewed on a viewer terminal used by a viewer to view live content.
