Methods, systems, and computer readable media can be operable to facilitate the intercept and manipulation of content requested by a client device. The methods, systems, and apparatuses described herein enable the interception and redirection of packets based upon a set of rules. Intercepted packets may be redirected away from an origin server and may be forwarded to a splicing device. The splicing device may establish a session with a corresponding origin server, and retrieve content that is requested by the intercepted packet. In embodiments, the splicing device may identify alternate content that is associated with the intercepted packet and/or content that is further associated with a device or subscriber associated with the packet. One or more segments of the requested content, or the entirety of the requested content may be replaced with the alternate content, and the modified content may be output to the client device requesting the content.

The method includes: acquiring a plurality of video streams for a live-streaming event; determining respective feature information of the plurality of video streams; determining a feature information of a client in response to a video request message from the client; matching the respective feature information of the plurality of video streams with the feature information of the client respectively, so as to obtain respective matching degrees of the plurality of video streams with respect to the client; and selecting one video stream from the plurality of video streams to obtain a selected video stream according to the respective matching degrees of the plurality of video streams with respect to the client, and pushing the selected video stream to the client. The gift or video drop logic section presents the interactive gift or video drop map to a user, and facilitates the dropping of a symbolic gift item or a video onto the interactive map. A data package is received from a plurality of devices. Each data package comprises audio content captured by a respective device from the plurality of devices. Each data package further comprises metadata including a location of the respective device when the audio content was captured and a time at which the audio content was captured. A subset of the data packages that include audio content captured within a specified geographic area and within a specified time period is identified based on the metadata. A playlist for the specified area and the specified time period is generated based on the subset of data packages. The playlist may be provided to at least a first device.

A method includes, at a first time: receiving a request for video content from a first user; generating a fingerprint for the first user; associating the first user with a first user population—assigned to a first CDN and receiving the video content from the first CDN during the first time period—based on the fingerprint; and accessing a first metric for distribution of video content from the first CDN to users of the first user population. The method also includes, at a second time: selecting a second user within the first user population; identifying a second CDN distinct from the first CDN; reassigning the second user to the second CDN; and accessing a second metric for distribution of the video content from the second CDN to the second user; and, in response to the second metric exceeding the first metric, reassigning the first user to the second CDN.

A geolocationing system and method for providing awareness in a multi-space environment, such as a hospitality environment or educational environment, are presented. In one embodiment of the geolocationing system, a vertical and horizontal array of gateway devices is provided. Each gateway device includes a gateway device identification providing an accurately-known fixed location within the multi-space environment. Each gateway device includes a wireless transceiver that receives a beacon signal from a proximate wireless-enabled personal locator device. The gateway devices, in turn, send gateway signals to a server, which determines an estimated location of the wireless-enabled personal locator device.

A geolocationing system and method for providing awareness in a multi-space environment, such as a hospitality environment or educational environment, are presented.
