IDENTIFYING INSERTION POINTS FOR INSERTING LIVE CONTENT INTO A CONTINUOUS CONTENT STREAM
A method for identifying insertion points for inserting live content into a continuous content stream is disclosed. The method includes identifying a first particular live content item included in a continuous content stream. The method determines a first live content item for presentation based on one or more interesting portions of the first live content item, wherein the one or more interesting portions are identified based one or more selection criteria, and wherein a first interesting portion comprises a start time. The method further causes the first live content item to be presented by the client device at the start time of the first interesting portion during playback of the first particular item.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DISPLAYING INTERACTIVE CONTENT ITEM FOR A PREDETERMINED DURATION
Systems and methods are provided for presenting an interactive content item matching a user-selected category to a user for a desired duration. A user selects a category and selects a first interactive content item on a media system. The system calculates a total duration of a storyline from the selected interactive content item that matches the selected category (e.g., a genre “comedy”) and compares the calculated duration to a desired predetermined duration for which the user wishes to watch the selected show. If the system determines, for instance, that the total duration of the selected storyline is less than the predetermined duration, the system identifies scenes from another show and interleaves them with scenes from the first interactive content item to generate a combined interactive content item that satisfies the user viewing preferences.
Systems and methods to facilitate quality control of benefit items created for subscribers of a membership platform
Systems and methods to facilitate quality control of benefit items created for subscribers of a membership platform are described herein. Exemplary implementations may: obtain subscribership information; obtain quality control information; effectuate presentation of a reward fulfillment user interface; obtain input information; calculate levels of quality of digital assets; determine sets of subscribership criteria that correspond to the calculated levels of quality; authorize fulfillment of physical benefit items; and/or perform other operations.
CONTENT SUMMARIES FOR UPCOMING MEDIA ASSETS
Systems and methods are disclosed to provide one or more content summaries for one or more media assets, wherein it is determined that consumption associated with a profile of a media asset will begin at a first time and at a second time that is a period of time prior to the first time, it is caused to be provided one or more content summaries for the one or more media assets, wherein the one or more content summaries are selected based at least on a duration of the content summary, such that a duration of the content summary is not greater than the period of time.
Content-modification system with transmission delay-based feature
In one aspect, a method includes determining a content-transmission delay between a content-distribution system and a content-presentation device. The method also includes using at least the determined content-transmission delay as a basis to select, from among a plurality of reference fingerprint data sets, a reference fingerprint data set that corresponds with the determined content-transmission delay. The method also includes transmitting to the content-presentation device, the selected reference fingerprint data set that corresponds with the determined content-transmission delay to facilitate the content-presentation device detecting a match between query fingerprint data representing content received by the content-presentation device and at least a portion of reference fingerprint data in the transmitted reference fingerprint data set.
ADAPTIVE MEDIA TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PROCESS
Systems, methods, and apparatus are described herein for providing an adaptive media traffic management process. The adaptive media traffic management process may be provided to identify available slots in a log, identify unscheduled media information that can be scheduled in the available slots, and determine how to schedule the unscheduled media information to generate a revised (e.g., optimized) log. A computing device may receive a log associated with a media channel from another computing device that is associated with an administrative user. The computing device may identify an available slot. The computing device may automatically assign an unscheduled portion of media information to the available slot. The computing device may generate a revised log that includes the unscheduled portion of media information in the available slot. The computing device may send the revised log to the computing device associated with the administrative user.
Pre-positioning of streaming content onto communication devices for future content recommendations
Facilitating pre-positioning of streaming content onto communication devices is provided herein. A system can comprise a processor and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, facilitate performance of operations. The operations can comprise facilitating an identification of a first multimedia content stream and a second multimedia content stream. The identification can be based on a usage preference of a defined entity associated with a communication device. The operations can also comprise, in response to a determination that an available network satisfies a defined network criterion, facilitating pre-positioning, at a data store of the communication device, the first multimedia content stream and the second multimedia content stream.
Media streaming
There is disclosed a system for providing streaming services, comprising: a plurality of capture devices, each for capturing data and providing a captured data stream; and a server, for receiving the plurality of captured data streams; wherein each capture device is configured to generate metadata for the captured data, and transmit said metadata to the server.
ADVANCED CREATION OF SLIGHTLY-DIFFERENT-DURATION VERSIONS OF A SUPPLEMENTAL CONTENT SEGMENT, AND SELECTION AND USE OF AN APPROPRIATE-DURATION VERSION, TO FACILITATE DYNAMIC CONTENT MODIFICATION
A method and system for aligning the duration of supplemental content with the duration of modifiable content in content modification operations. An example method includes determining a duration of a modifiable content segment in a media sequence being received by a content-presentation device. The example method then includes identifying a supplemental content segment to replace the modifiable content segment and selecting from a predefined set of multiple different-duration versions of the identified supplemental content segment, a particular instance of the identified supplemental content segment based on the particular instance of the identified supplemental content segment having a duration closest to the determined duration of the modifiable content segment. The method further includes causing the selected particular instance of the identified supplemental content segment to be transmitted to the content-presentation device to facilitate dynamic replacement of the supplemental content segment with the particular instance of the identified supplemental content segment.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO REDUCE ACKNOWLEDGMENT REQUESTS IN BROADCAST TRANSMISSION NETWORKS
At least one aspect of the present disclosure is directed to systems and methods of selecting and acknowledging content to broadcast. A system can receive, at a first time, a request for content to broadcast identifying a content publisher. The system can obtain cluster data of the content publisher corresponding to a first time, the cluster data identifying content selection metrics based on predicted characteristics of the cluster corresponding to the first time. The system can determine a subset of content items having cluster filtering criteria that satisfy the content selection metrics. The system can rank the subset of content items based on the content selection metrics to create an ordered list of content items. The system can transmit data identifying the order of the content items to the content publisher. The content publisher can insert the content into a broadcast in the order identified by the system.
