A computer-implemented method may include: receiving, by a first computer server, content provider data and content item data; identifying a plurality of profile elements by applying machine learning techniques to the received content provider data and content item data; calculating a first plurality of profile element scores for the content provider in each of the plurality of profile elements and a second plurality of profile element scores for the plurality of content items in each of the plurality of profile elements; determining, by utilizing one or more distance algorithms, profile element vector distances between the first plurality of profile element scores for the content provider and the plurality of second profile element scores for the plurality of content items; ranking the plurality of content items based on the determined profile element vector distances; and generating an interactive graphical user interface (GUI) displaying a plurality of radar graphs.

The system analyzes the comments to identify text strings within the text comments. The system generates interactable elements from the text strings in the text comments, such that an interaction with the text string causes display of identifiers of media assets corresponding to the text string.

Purchasable item actions associated with digital media are disclosed. Digital media associated with a digital media provider is presented at a user device. Trigger data associated with the digital media is presented. In response to a command to activate the trigger data, an actionable indication is displayed of at least one purchasable item associated with the digital media. In response to a selection of the actionable indication of the at least one purchasable item associated with the digital media, an action is performed associated with the at least one purchasable item. The action can include adding the at least one purchasable item to a shopping cart or a wish list.

A video overlay links the relevant content with a given video object and creating a selectable hyperlink whose position tracks a dynamic location of the video object in the video. The consumer server includes a software application for accessing and displaying the at least one video file stored in the video database, the software application including means for interacting with the video overlay to select an object displayed in the video file.

Object selection reward data, including rewards for viewer selection of objects of interest in presented media content of a video stream may be electronically communicated to the user automatically when the user electronically selects the object of interest as it is shown in the screen. Provided is improved functionality to activate an image in the video stream into an object that then can be selectable or become a part of an application running on a receiving device such as a set-top box or other media device. The received video may or may not be taken over by the application running on the set-top box. The video scaling can be preserved, and a part of the application. Alternatively, the whole of the visible video screen may not be a part of the application.
