PRINTING APPARATUS, SYSTEM, CONTROL METHOD OF PRINTING APPARATUS, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
In a case where an IP address is not available in a printing apparatus, the printing apparatus generates a Bluetooth low energy packet including a specific value as the IP address, and transmits the generated Bluetooth low energy packet to a mobile terminal. Upon receiving of the Bluetooth low energy packet, a mobile terminal displays a message corresponding to the specific value.
Information processing apparatus for facsimile transmission, method of controlling the same, and storage medium
An information processing apparatus capable of instructing a facsimile transmission by controlling a device capable of transmission and receiving of a facsimile, and a method of controlling the apparatus are provided. The apparatus specifies address information indicating a transmission destination of a designated document, and determine whether or not the specified address information includes information of a communication mode. If the address information includes the information of the communication mode, in a case where a driver, that instructs the device to perform the facsimile transmission, supports the communication mode, the apparatus performs the facsimile transmission in accordance with the address information and the communication mode, and if the specified address information does not include the information of the communication mode, the apparatus performs the facsimile transmission in accordance with a communication mode that the driver supports.
INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, STORAGE MEDIUM, AND CONTROL METHOD
A control method for an information processing apparatus, the control method comprising: receiving, from a first external apparatus which belongs to a different subnet of a network than the subnet of the information processing apparatus, specific information for discovering the first external apparatus using a first communication unit; accepting an instruction from a user for searching for external apparatuses; discovering, in response to accepting the instruction and receiving the specific information before accepting the instruction, one or a plurality of external apparatuses by using the specific information, wherein the discovered external apparatuses includes the first external apparatus; displaying a list of information related to the discovered external apparatus(es); and communicating, using a second communication unit, with a selected external apparatus that a user has selected from the list.
Communication method having a plurality of connection establishment methods between image forming apparatus and communication device
In a communication system, an image forming apparatus sends an address of a receiving section to a mobile terminal. The mobile terminal receives a selection of an image data among plural thumbnails displayed on a display section, and wirelessly sends the selected image data to the image forming apparatus with the address. The image forming apparatus receives the selected image data sent with the address by the mobile terminal, and prints an image based on the selected image data. A communication between the mobile terminal and the image forming apparatus is performed wirelessly with an IEEE 802.11 standard. The image forming apparatus continuously performs a second printing, when the receiving section receives a selected image data again in a condition that the communication with the mobile terminal is continuously established by the receiving section after the printing of the received image data is finished.
System, method and computer program product for multi-tenant facsimile server
In embodiments disclosed herein disclose methods and systems for providing a multitenant facsimile server. The computer instructions may be executable to maintain a set of entity information, wherein the entity information defines a plurality of tenants, and maintain a database configured to store transmitted and received fax documents corresponding to a plurality of tenants. The computer instructions may be further executable to receive a facsimile document at the fax server, wherein the facsimile document comprises one of a document to be transmitted or a received fax. The computer instructions may be further executable to identify a tenant associated with the document based on an identifier. Further, the computer instructions may be executable to store the document in the database, wherein the document is associated with the tenant in the database.
Device discovery using broadcast technology
Techniques described herein automatically discover the IP address of a first network device such as but not limited to a multifunction printer. Such techniques use a unique identifier of the first network device, such as for example a multifunction printer serial number. Such unique number is used in the configuration of a second network device, such as for example a Digital Front End/External Print Controller that may need the IP address of the first network device. The unique number may be entered once into the second network device or may be received from the first network device through a data interface by the second network device. Techniques then may use any available broadcast technology such as but not limited to Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) to determine from available network devices which network device therefrom has the same unique number, thereby obtaining the IP address of the first network device.
Image processing apparatus, image processing method, and storage medium
An MFP receives destination information indicating a folder in a file server from a user and can register the destination information in an address book, and the MFP determines whether a connection with a file server using the destination information can be established after destination information is received but before the destination information is registered in the address book, and notifies a user of a determination result.
DOCUMENT OUTPUT PROCESSING
The invention relates to printing and other output of documents using data processors, and particularly to methods, apparatus, and computer programming useful for controlling output processes. In various aspects the invention provides systems, methods, and computer programming useful for minimizing the number of command inputs required from a user to complete printing or other output of multiple documents. In other aspects, the invention provides systems, methods, and computer programming useful for printing documents using content data received from users or other sources, together with previously-provided form data, according to predetermined formats.
INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE AND NON-TRANSITORY RECORDING MEDIUM
An information processing device includes a first wireless communicator that establishes a short-range wireless communication with a first image forming device in a local network and a second wireless communicator that establishes a wireless communication with a wireless communicator device connected to the local network, comprising a hardware processor that: enables the first wireless communicator to establish the short-range wireless communication with the first image forming device, thereby obtaining an IP address of the first image forming device in the local network; and enables the second wireless communicator to send a search command for searching for a second image forming device in the local network to the local network using unicast transmission via the wireless communicator device based on the IP address of the first image forming device.
PRINTING APPARATUS AND CONTROL METHOD OF PRINTING APPARATUS
A printing apparatus includes a printing unit that performs a printing process in accordance with print data received from at least one transmission destination; and a detection unit that detects connection information that can be used to identify the transmission destination with which the printing apparatus can communicate. A communication setting table in which multiple pieces of connection information are associated with communication setting information is stored in a storage unit of the printing apparatus. Once the detection unit detects connection information, a control unit functions as a communication setting unit that identifies communication setting information by referring to the communication setting table in accordance with the detected connection information and performs communication setting in accordance with the identified communication setting information.
