In one embodiment, a method is disclosed, comprising: processing, at an MME, at least one of: an eNodeB Identifier (ID) in a setup request; Tracking Area Code (TAC) information in a setup request which an eNodeB is supporting against a configured TAC for nodes at the MME; and historical data relating to a maximum number of subscribers the MME has attached per peer. The method further includes determining a preferred load balancing arrangement at the MME based on the processing.

User plane function (UPF) load balancing based on network data analytics to predict load of user equipment

Embodiments are directed towards systems and methods for user plane function (UPF) and network slice load balancing within a 5G network. Example embodiments include systems and methods for load balancing based on current UPF load and thresholds that depend on UPF capacity; UPF load balancing using predicted throughput of new UE on the network based on network data analytics; UPF load balancing based on special considerations for low latency traffic; UPF load balancing supporting multiple slices, maintaining several load-thresholds for each UPF and each slice depending on the UPF and network slice capacity; and UPF load balancing using predicted central processing unit (CPU) utilization and/or predicted memory utilization of new UE on the network based on network data analytics.

RECOMMENDING A THRESHOLD FOR A DATA USAGE TYPE ASSOCIATED WITH A MOBILE DEVICE OPERATING ON A WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATION NETWORK
20240129803 · 2024-04-18 ·

The system obtains multiple thresholds for multiple bandwidth usage types associated with a UE. The threshold indicates an amount of bandwidth available to the UE over a predetermined period. Each threshold corresponds to a bandwidth usage type. The multiple thresholds include: roaming data, home data, voice over IP, international voice over IP, roaming voice over IP, international data, and tethering data threshold. The system obtains multiple bandwidth usage patterns of the UE, where each bandwidth usage pattern corresponds to a threshold. The system iterates over each bandwidth usage to determine whether the UE has exceeded or is likely to exceed the threshold within the predetermined period. Upon determining that a bandwidth usage pattern has exceeded or is likely to exceed the threshold within the predetermined period, the system determines an increase to the threshold. The system sends an indication of the increase to the threshold to the UE.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DYNAMIC USE OF TIME DIVISION DUPLEXING

In some implementations, a device may generate a traffic demand prediction associated with a radio access network (RAN). The device may determine, based on the traffic demand prediction, that a first set of cells of the RAN are to be configured with a first time-division duplexing (TDD) configuration that differs from a second TDD configuration configured for one or more other cells of the RAN. The device may identify a second set of cells of the RAN that are to be configured to mitigate interference in the first set of cells. The device may provide an interference mitigation configuration to the second set of cells to cause the second set of cells to mitigate interference in the first set of cells.

DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD AND APPARATUS THEREOF
20240244687 · 2024-07-18 ·

A data transmission method is provided. The data transmission method may be applied to a multi-link operation between a first multi-link device (MLD) and a second MLD. The data transmission method may include the following steps. A processor of the first MLD may perform a spatial reuse transmission on at least one link between the first MLD and the second MLD. Then, the processor may dispatch data frames with the same traffic identifier (TID) for all links between the first MLD and the second MLD based on the physical layer (PHY) rates and packet error rates of all links between the first MLD and the second MLD. Then, the processor may transmit the data frames to the second MLD based on the dispatch result.

PRIORITIZATION OF ISOCHRONOUS STREAMS IN MULTI-PROTOCOL SYSTEM
20240276306 · 2024-08-15 ·

A multi-protocol wireless communications system uses prioritization of isochronous streams to increase the reliability and improve bandwidth utilization. Placement of subevents in an isochronous interval according to link quality reduces fragmentation of the isochronous interval. A method for multi-protocol communications between wireless communications devices using a wireless communications interface includes placing in an isochronous group event, by a first wireless communications device, at least one subevent for each isochronous stream of a plurality of isochronous streams of an isochronous group based on a historical retransmission rate for each isochronous stream of the plurality of isochronous streams. The method may include counting retransmissions for each isochronous stream of the plurality of isochronous streams to thereby determine the historical retransmission rate for each isochronous stream of the plurality of isochronous streams.
