GEOGRAPHIC ROUTING BASED ON 5G NETWORK SLICE AVAILABILITY
20220150794 · 2022-05-12 ·

Various arrangements for performing navigation based on characteristics of a cellular network are provided. A quality of experience (QoE) level required for a wireless service to be performed for a networked device may be determined. A current location and a destination for a vehicle may be determined. A wireless network slice coverage area map may be accessed that maps network performance characteristics for the cellular network across a geographic region. A navigation route from the current location to the destination based on the wireless network slice coverage area map and the determined QoE may be determined. The determined navigational route may be output to a navigation system.

A first device in a communication network receives from at least one second device in the communication network, a first request for acquiring a token, the token being permission for communicating with a third device. Based on the first request, a device from the at least one second device and the first device as a communication device is selected for providing a communication service to the third device in the communication network; and the token is transmitted to the communication device. The communication device receives the token for communicating with the third device. Other devices receive key information associated with communication of the third device from the first device, and monitor data associated with the communication of the third device.

Dynamic random access response (RAR) reception termination

A device and method and system for dynamically processing a random access response (RAR) signal to perform wireless communications is disclose. In some embodiments, the device is configured to receive one or multiple random access response (RAR) signals, wherein when the processor receives multiple RAR signals, it selects a RAR signal and responses to the selected RAR signal based on a content of the one or multiple RAR signals and proceeds with subsequent wireless communication using information contained in the selected RAR signal.

Method and system for scheduling multi-access edge computing resources

Systems and methods described herein provide an intelligent MEC resource scheduling service. A network device in a MEC network stores, in a memory, threshold values indicating overload conditions for resource usage by a first MEC cluster; monitors resource usage in the first MEC cluster; determines, based on the monitoring, when one of the threshold values is reached; identifies available resources in a second MEC cluster; and re-directs, based on the identifying, at least some of the resource usage from the first MEC cluster to the second MEC cluster.

DYNAMIC CHANNEL ALLOCATION

Embodiments of the present invention provide computer-implemented methods, computer program products and computer systems. Embodiments of the present invention can identify an effective channel on a transmission stream framework comprising a plurality of channels and nodes using current capacity states and current transmission schedules. Embodiments of the present invention can then determine whether to continue marshalling on a current channel or to marshal to the effective channel based on transmission demands between nodes and channel providing a minimum latency between available options within the transmission stream framework

A data packet, that is to be transmitted in a dual connectivity (DC) or carrier aggregation (CA) based communications system, may include an indication to indicate whether the data packet is configured to be transmitted in a first frequency of a first carrier or a second frequency of a second carrier, and be transmitted, by a communication device, in the first frequency or the second frequency based on the indication. A data packet in the communications system may also be transmitted first in a first frequency higher than a second frequency, and then be retransmitted in the second frequency upon transmission failure of the data packet in the first frequency.

Allocating resources for communication and sensing services

An apparatus comprising at least one processor and at least one memory including computer program code, the at least one memory and the computer program code being configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus at least to perform determining, per a communication service to which resources are to be allocated, a metric value using a first predefined set of rules, determining, per a sensing service to which resources are to be allocated, a metric value using a second predefined set of rules, sorting communication services to which resources are to be allocated and sensing services to which resources are to be allocated based on the metric values to a sorted order using a third rule, and allocating resources for the communication services and the sensing services based on the sorted order.

SHARED SPECTRUM RESOURCE ALLOCATION IN OPEN RADIO ACCESS NETWORKS

Wireless communications systems and methods related to communicating control information are provided. A method of wireless communication performed by a wireless node may include receiving, from a network node of a first network operator, a first consideration for shared spectrum resources, receiving, from a network node of a second network operator, a second consideration for the shared spectrum resources, and transmitting an indication of a resource allocation to at least one of the network node of the first network operator or the network node of the second network operator. The resource allocation for the shared spectrum resources may be based on the first consideration and the second consideration.

A node of the wireless communication network receives data indicative of a measured QoS, level of data traffic assigned to different configured traffic forwarding policies each defining one or more target parameters. Based on the data and the target parameters, the node detects violations of the traffic forwarding policies. Based on the detected violations for each the traffic forwarding policies, the node detects at least one anomaly in the wireless communication network.

According to an embodiment, a node comprises one or more processors operable to execute instructions to cause the node to perform operations. The operations comprise determining a link quality associated with each satellite link of a plurality of satellite links and applying load balancing to the plurality of satellite links. The load balancing is based at least in part on the respective link quality associated with each satellite link. The load balancing comprises determining which of the satellite links to include in an active set selected to communicate data to or from the node and, for each satellite link in the active set, determining a portion of the data to communicate via the respective satellite link. The operations further comprise transmitting or receiving the data via the satellite links in the active set. Each satellite link in the active set communicates its respective portion of the data.
