Apparatus and methods for occlusion of blood vessels

Apparatus and methods are provided for occluding blood vessels and other anatomical structures. Occlusion devices are delivered percutaneously and extraluminally through a small gauge needle and include expandable elements that are deployable on opposite sides of a target vessel to be occluded. When positioned about the vessel the elements are expanded and brought together to compress and occlude the vessel. Embodiments include those adapted for temporary as well as permanent use.

Aneurysm neck bridge with a closeable opening or lumen through which embolic material is inserted into the aneurysm sac
11484322 · 2022-11-01 · ·

This intrasacular aneurysm occlusion device includes a neck bridge with a closeable opening through which embolic material is inserted into an aneurysm sac. After the neck bridge has been expanded within the aneurysm sac, a catheter is inserted through the opening and embolic material is delivered through the catheter into the aneurysm sac. After the aneurysm sac has been filled with embolic material, the catheter is then withdrawn and the opening is closed so that embolic material does not escape out of the aneurysm sac.

DELIVERY AND DEPLOYMENT OF A PROSTATIC IMPLANT

Devices and methods are disclosed for managing and/or treating body tissues obstructing a hollow body lumen, including the prostatic lobe tissues obstructing the urethra, for example conditions including benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), bladder outlet obstruction (BOO), benign prostatic obstruction (BPO) and associated lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS). A prostatic implant deployment and delivery system may have a controlled release mechanism, a handle mechanism and an irrigation system. The controlled release mechanism includes a disengageable connection between a pusher member and the prostatic implant with a control member. The handle mechanism includes a plunger for advancing the pusher member and an actuator for withdrawing the control member. The irrigation system may define two fluid paths.

MECHANICAL DETACHMENT SYSTEM WITH A HOLD-RELEASE STRUCTURE FOR DEPLOYMENT OF ENDOVASCULAR DEVICES

A delivery system employs a hold-release structure to deploy an implant at a target site in the vasculature of a patient. The hold-release structure may include two or more grasping members configured to close and exert an inward clamping force to hold the implant when the grasping members are constrained in a tubular member. The grasping members can open when unconstrained allowing the implant to be released. Alternatively, the hold-release structure may include two or more radially expandable members configured to exert an outward radial force when constrained by the tubular member allowing the hold-release structure to hold the implant against the tubular member. The radially expandable members can be configured to create a friction force on the implant allowing the hold-release structure to move the implant relative to the tubular member.

MECHANICAL DETACHMENT SYSTEM WITH A LEVER STRUCTURE FOR DEPLOYMENT OF ENDOVASCULAR DEVICES
20220338878 · 2022-10-27 ·

An endovascular system employs a lever structure to deploy an embolic device at a target site in the vasculature of a patient. The endovascular system comprises an elongate tubular member provided with a lever structure and an elongate detachment wire to assert an effort to the proximal portion of a lever member outwardly, thereby generating a load to the distal portion of the lever member inwardly to allow the lever structure to engage and secure the embolic device. The elongate detachment wire is disengageable from the lever structure to remove the effort asserted to the proximal portion of the lever member, thereby removing the load off the distal portion of the lever member to allow the lever structure to disengage and release the embolic device.

LEFT ATRIAL APPENDAGE IMPLANT WITH SEALING DISK

An implant for occluding a left atrial appendage may include an expandable framework including a body portion and a disk portion, wherein the expandable framework is configured to shift between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration, and an occlusive disk element disposed within the disk portion. The disk portion may include a first disk portion integrally formed with the body portion, and a second disk portion movably attached to the first disk portion by at least one hinge member.

OCCLUDER DEVICES

Various aspects of the present disclosure are directed toward systems, methods, and apparatuses that include an occlusion device having a barrier member. The barrier member may include an enlargeable portion and a tail portion extending from the enlargeable portion. The enlargeable portion and the tail portion are releasably coupled to the delivery catheter such that the tail portion is radially unsupported and collapsible upon deployment.

Systems and methods for enclosing an anatomical opening

Implantable therapeutic devices and methods for endovascular placement of devices at a target site, such an opening at a neck of an aneurysm, are disclosed. Selected embodiments of the present technology have closures that at least partially occlude the neck of an aneurysm to stabilize embolic or coagulative treatment of the aneurysm.

Folded aneurysm treatment device and delivery method

A method of occluding an aneurysm includes positioning a braided implant within an aneurysm sack such that an outer non-inverted layer contacts a wall of the aneurysm and an inverted layer apposes the outer non-inverted layer to form a double layer of braid across a neck of the aneurysm. A radiopaque end of the braided implant can be positioned centrally within the aneurysm so that the radiopaque end extends adjacent or across a plane defined by a fold between the outer non-inverted layer and the inner inverted layer. Embolic coils can be inserted into the aneurysm sac and inhibited from exiting the aneurysm at the neck by the double layer braid across the aneurysm neck.

Aneurysm device and delivery system

The present disclosure relates to a braid for treating an aneurysm. The braid can include a proximal expandable portion for positioning inside the aneurysm and sealing across a neck of the aneurysm. The braid can also include a distal expandable portion distal of the proximal expandable portion, the distal expandable portion for filling the aneurysm.
