The invention comprises a process for obtaining a gas from a fluid fuel and an oxidising fluid, said process comprising steps in which the incoming fluid is subjected to temperature, photocatalytic action and reaction with catalysts, all this within a device with a tubular structure which the incoming fluid circulates through in a spiral manner, between a fixed bed attached to the walls of the duct and a circulating bed with an ionised gas stream that occupies a central position of the duct, producing a gas obtained.
Vortex Chamber
The present disclosure relates to a vortex chamber comprising a cavity elongating along a central axis and a swirl generator. The swirl generator comprises a plurality of swirl channels configured for introducing a gas flow into the cavity as a vortex flow about the central axis, each swirl channel comprising a channel entrance and a channel exit. The swirl generator further comprises a gas redistribution chamber comprising one or more main gas supply inlets for receiving a gas, a distribution channel configured for distributing the gas received from the one or more main gas supply inlets to the channel entrances of the swirl channels, and one or more blocking walls configured for blocking and unblocking one or more entrances of the plurality of swirl channels. The vortex chamber is further configured for relatively rotating the channel entrances of the swirl channels with respect to the one or more blocking walls from a first angular position to at least a second angular position and vice versa, and wherein when in the second angular position the one or more blocking walls block a larger number of channel entrances than when in the first angular position.
Swirl ring and contact element for a plasma arc torch cartridge
A consumable cartridge for a plasma arc torch includes a cartridge frame having a first end and a second end opposite the first end, the first and second ends defining a longitudinal axis, the second end including a plurality of discrete retaining features. The consumable cartridge includes an electrically conductive contact element secured to the cartridge frame by the plurality of discrete retaining features and translatable up to a predetermined distance within the cartridge frame along the longitudinal axis at the second end, the contact element having a core, a proximal surface, and a distal surface. The proximal surface is shaped to contact a torch plunger of the plasma arc torch upon installation into the plasma arc torch and the distal surface is shaped to contact an electrode of the plasma arc torch during an operation of the plasma arc torch.
Cost Effective Cartridge for a Plasma Arc Torch
An adapter for a plasma arc torch comprising a torch body is provided. The adapter includes a body defining a longitudinal axis between a proximal end and a distal end and at least one protruding portion extending from the proximal end of the body. The at least one protruding portion is configured to be inserted into a cavity of the torch body to physically engage a switch inside of the cavity. The engagement of the switch is adapted to indicate installation of a consumable component in the plasma arc torch.

An apparatus for producing reforming liquid includes a treatment tank in which an introduced liquid is swirled so as to generate a gas phase in the vicinity of a swirling center of a swirling flow of the liquid, a first electrode which has at least a portion which is disposed in the treatment tank and comes into contact with the liquid in the treatment tank, a second electrode which is disposed so as to come into contact with the liquid in the treatment tank and a power source which is configured to apply a voltage between the first electrode and the second electrode so as to generate plasma in the gas phase. A reformed liquid is produced in a manner that the plasma is generated in the gas phase so as to form a reformed component, and the formed reformed component is dissolved and dispersed in the liquid.

Embodiments of the present invention include a plasma cutting torch and plasma cutting torch components, such as electrodes, cathodes, retainer caps, etc. having a unique physical features, including threads relationships. Embodiments include torch components having modified square thread with a specialized thread configuration including a particular relationship between thread crest and root, and included angles of thread sidewalls.

In some aspects, electrodes can include a front portion shaped to matingly engage a nozzle of the plasma cutting system, the front portion having a first end comprising a plasma arc emitter disposed therein; and a rear portion thermally connected to a second end of the front portion, the rear portion shaped to slidingly engage with a complementary swirl ring of the plasma cutting system and including: an annular mating feature extending radially from a proximal end of the rear portion of the electrode to define a first annular width to interface with the swirl ring, the annular mating feature comprising a sealing member configured to form a dynamic seal with the swirl ring to inhibit a flow of a gas from a forward side of the annular mating feature to a rearward side of the annular mating feature.
ADJUSTABLE LENGTH CONSUMABLES FOR A LIQUID-COOLED PLASMA ARC TORCH
A torch tip is provided for a liquid-cooled plasma arc cutting torch. The torch tip includes an electrode with an elongated electrode body having a distal end and a proximal end extending along a longitudinal axis. The electrode body includes at least one interior threaded connection at the proximal end for engaging a liquid-cooled electrode holder. The electrode holder comprises a liquid coolant channel that does not extend into the electrode body. The electrode body has (i) a length extending along the longitudinal axis and (ii) a diameter associated with a widest portion of the electrode body along the longitudinal axis between the proximal and distal ends, where a ratio of the length to the diameter of the electrode body is greater than about 5.
System and method for plasma discharge in liquid
A system for generating a plasma discharge in liquid utilizes first and second electrodes spaced apart in an interior space of a vessel holding the liquid. A channel can be defined in certain embodiments at least partially by at least one of the first and second electrodes, and an inlet in fluid communication with the interior space is configured to generate a vortical fluid flow in the vessel. A method for generating a plasma discharge in liquid is also provided.

A liquid cooled shield assembly for a plasma arc torch includes an inner cap and a shield. The inner cap includes a substantially hollow body having a proximal end and a distal end that define a longitudinal axis, the distal end including an annular portion about the longitudinal axis. The inner cap also includes a liquid passage defined, at least in part, by an interior surface of the body, the liquid passage including a first set of ports in the annular portion, the first set of ports extending between an interior portion of the body and an exterior portion of the body to convey a liquid therethrough. The shield at least partially surrounds the inner cap and has a liquid impingement region on an interior surface of the shield adjacent to the first set of ports, the liquid impingement region for receiving the cooling liquid.
