An electronic assembly includes an electronic module and an electric part. The electronic module includes an electrically conductive press-fit terminal. The electrically conductive press-fit terminal has a press-fit section. The electric part has a contact hole. The press-fit section is inserted in the contact hole and plastically deformed therein, such that the press-fit section both mechanically and electrically contacts the electric part in the plastically deformed state. A corresponding method of assembly is also described.
Electrical terminal and electrical connector thereof
An electrical terminal includes a terminal body, at least one interference lug, and at least one circuit connection part. The terminal body includes a front end and a back end in a longitudinal direction. The interference lug is arranged in parallel to the longitudinal direction and extends outwardly in a horizontal direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. The at least one circuit connection part is connected to the terminal body. An electrical connector is also provided, and the electrical connector includes a base and the electrical terminal. The base includes at least one installation trough, and a guiding groove is arranged in the at least one installation trough, the at least one interference lug is adapted to slide into the guiding groove, so as to guide and position the electrical terminal.
PIN SIDE EDGE MOUNT CONNECTOR AND SYSTEMS AND METHODS THEREOF
A printed circuit board (PCB) device including one or more insulating layers and one or more conducting layers arranged to form a layer stack; and one or more blind holes disposed along a side edge of the layer stack and parallel to a plane of the layer stack. Each of the one or more blind holes along the side edge of the layer stack is configured to receive a pin. Each pin can make an electrical connection with a corresponding blind hole.
CONNECTOR WITH TOLERANCE MODULE
A connector with a tolerance module includes a socket and a plug adapted to the socket, wherein the socket includes a first housing, the plug includes a tolerance module and a third housing, the tolerance module includes a second housing, the second housing includes second contact members, the second housing is movably arranged on the third housing in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the connector, and the second contact members are floatingly assembled in the second housing to enable displacement in the direction perpendicular to the axial direction of the connector. The second housing only generates translational motion without displacement when the connector is inserted. The tolerance of the plug and the socket is realized by the floating assembly of the second contact members in the second housing.
Press-fit terminal, connector for board, and board-equipped connector
An object is to, for physical properties, holding force, contact area, and insertion force in a trade-off relationship, set the holding force to 37 N or more, the contact area to 0.72 mm2 or more, and the insertion force to 90 N or less. A press-fit terminal is to be press-fitted into a through hole formed in a circuit board. A press-fit part includes a beam and an eye hole that is surrounded by the beam. The beam includes two parallel parts that are parallel to each other. In the press-fit part, G1/G2 is 0.20 or more and 1.05 or less where a front-side spring strength is G1 [mm3] and a rear-side spring strength is G2 [mm3] calculated under the following conditions, and G is 0.007 mm3 or more and 0.012 mm3 or less where a spring strength G [mm3] is G1+G2.
PIN SIDE EDGE MOUNT CONNECTOR AND SYSTEMS AND METHODS THEREOF
A printed circuit board (PCB) device including one or more insulating layers and one or more conducting layers arranged to form a layer stack; and one or more blind holes disposed along a side edge of the layer stack and parallel to a plane of the layer stack. Each of the one or more blind holes along the side edge of the layer stack is configured to receive a pin. Each pin can make an electrical connection with a corresponding blind hole.
ELECTRICAL PRESS-IN CONTACT PIN
An electrical contact pin is intended for pressing into a hole which is provided in a circuit carrier board and has a circumferential wall with a metallized surface. The contact pin consists mainly of copper or of a copper alloy and is surrounded by a layer which includes tin at least in a part region which is to be pressed into the hole. The layer, which includes tin, forms the surface of the contact pin and includes substantially only tin and tin oxide, wherein the tin oxide is formed by way of electrolytic oxidation and the concentration thereof is greatest on the surface of the layer.
