BROACH HANDLE FOR A RASP AND SURGICAL DEVICE COMPRISING SAID HANDLE
A broach handle for a rasp includes a proximal part extending along a first axis between a first portion of the handle and a second portion of the handle, and a proximal part extending partially along a second axis between a third portion of the handle, connected to the second portion, and a fourth portion of the handle, and partially along a third axis between a fifth portion of the handle, connected to the fourth portion, and a sixth portion of the handle connectable to a rasp. The sixth portion of the handle has a connection surface for connecting to the rasp having a normal extending along a normal axis defining a connection axis between the handle and the rasp. A first convex angle is defined between the first axis and the second axis, and a second convex angle is defined between the third axis and the normal axis.
Patient-specific guides for latarjet procedure
Patient-specific guides for the Latarjet procedure, as well as surgical systems and methods of performing the Latarjet procedure to treat glenohumeral instability using such patient-specific guides are disclosed. A patient-specific coracoid guide and a patient-specific glenoid guide may be configured based on preoperatively generated three-dimensional models of the patient's shoulder anatomy. Guides may be configured for coracoid graft preparation and glenoid decortication. The coracoid graft may be placed in the desired position based on three-dimensional (3D) preoperative planning.
ORTHOPEDIC BONE TAP AND METHODS INCORPORATING THE SAME
An orthopedic bone tap is provided, including a rod comprising a proximal end, a medial portion, and a distal end. The orthopedic bone tap also includes a plurality of cutting threads on the distal end of the rod. The orthopedic bone tap also includes an axial compression member engaged with at least one of the proximal end and the medial portion of the rod. The axial compression member is adapted and configured to exert compression that draws a bone fragment engaged with the plurality of cutting threads distally and against another bone fragment.

A cement restrictor inserter instrument (130) comprises an inserter (131) having a handle (132) at a proximal end, a cement restrictor attachment formation (137) at a distal end for releasably attaching a cement restrictor (150), a shaft (136) extending from the proximal end to the distal end and a stop (138) on the shaft and between the proximal end and the distal end; and a body (140) having a shape corresponding to the shape of an orthopaedic prosthetic implant, a spacer (142), a visible depth guide feature (190) and a releasable attachment mechanism by which the body is releasably attachable to the shaft, and wherein the spacer is configured to position the visible depth guide feature at a fixed position relative to the inserter when the spacer abuts the stop corresponding to a target cement restrictor position when the visible depth guide feature is aligned with a feature of a bone of a patient in which the cement restrictor is to be inserted.
INSERTER WITH A TELESCOPING REFERENCE FOOT
Disclosed herein are reference feet for inserters and method of use thereof. The reference feet can include a body, a tine, a first arm, and a first base. The body can have a longitudinal axis and define an engagement fixture oriented parallel to the longitudinal axis and sized to receive a complementary fixture of an inserter. The tine can extend from the body along the longitudinal axis and including a protuberance sized to engage a stop of the inserter. The first arm can extend from the body. The first base can be attached to the first arm and have a planar surface arranged at an angle relative to the longitudinal axis.
SURGICAL IMPACTING TOOL INTERFACES
Various exemplary surgical impacting tool interfaces and methods of using surgical impacting tool interfaces are provided. In general, a surgical impacting tool includes a locking assembly configured to releasably attach to an adapter. In response to engagement with the adapter, the locking assembly is configured to move from an unlocked configuration, in which the adapter is not releasably attached to the surgical impacting tool (nor is any other adapter releasably attached to the surgical impacting tool via the locking assembly), to a locked configuration, in which the adapter is releasably attached to the surgical impacting tool via the locking assembly. The locking assembly is configured to receive the adapter in a longitudinal direction along a longitudinal axis defined by the locking assembly and to automatically lock the adapter to the surgical impacting tool.
Guide for positioning a resurfacing head implant
A femoral head guide clamp can include jaws and two opposing arms that extend from the jaws. The jaws can include an aperture shaped such that the jaws have a closed position in which the aperture fits around a femoral neck of a patient but is too small to accept a femoral head of a patient, and an open position in which the aperture is expanded such that it is large enough to allow the femoral head to pass through. The arms can include a proximal section in which the arms are substantially parallel in a side-by-side arrangement, and a distal section in which the arms extend away from each other such that moving the two distal sections towards each other moves the jaws towards the open position.
STRAIGHT AND CURVED FEMORAL BROACH IMPACTOR ADAPTERS
An orthopaedic surgical instrument may include an elongated body with a broach end and an impactor end. The body may be straight or curved. A latch lever may be pivotally coupled to the elongated body. The latch lever may be moveable between an open position and a latched position in which the latch lever is retained within the body. A surgical broach may be rigidly attached to the broach end of the elongated body. An automated surgical impactor may be attached to the impactor end.

A surgical or arthroscopic method for resurfacing at least one surface of a hip joint of a human patient, using a medical device comprising an artificial hip joint surface, wherein the hip joint surface comprising an acetabulum surface and a caput femur surface, said method comprising the steps of: creating at least one hole passing into the hip joint, dissecting and preparing the hip joint, introducing at least one artificial hip joint surface, comprising at least one of an artificial acetabulum surface and an artificial caput femur surface, wherein said at least one artificial hip joint surface, comprising a first sealing member, creating a sealed hollow space between said first sealing member and one of the acetabulum surface or said artificial acetabulum surface and one of the caput femur surface or said artificial caput femur surface, selecting at least one artificial hip joint surface and injecting a material into said hollow space.
