HUMERAL HEAD IMPLANT SYSTEM
A humeral head implant system includes a head component including a first articulating surface, a second bottom surface extending from the first spherical articulating surface, a first cavity extending a first distance into the head component from the second bottom surface, and a second cavity extending into the head component along a cavity axis. The head component defines a head axis extending through a center of the first articulating surface parallel to the cavity axis. A base component defines a slot extending from a first width to a second width. An insert component includes an insert body, a first engagement feature, and a slot engagement feature. The first engagement feature is received in the second cavity along the cavity axis. The insert body has an insert thickness less than the first distance, and the slot engagement feature slides into the slot in a direction transverse to the cavity axis.
Shoulder reamer devices, systems including the same, and related methods
Presently disclosed reamer devices include a longitudinally-extending slot formed through a cutter head portion and a portion of a shaft, thereby allowing engagement of the reamer device with a guide pin inserted into a patient's glenoid by passing the guide pin through the slot and into an interior cannula track extending longitudinally through the interior of the shaft and cutter head portion. Presently disclosed reamer devices may be configured to engage the guide pin when the cutter head portion is positioned at a location medial to the patient's humeral head. Presently disclosed systems include such reamer devices and a guide pin, such as a dual diameter guide pin having an enlarged portion and a smaller portion. Dual diameter guide pins may interact with the interior cannula track of the shaft of the reamer device to serve as a depth limit for advancement of the reamer device along the guide pin.
SHOULDER PATIENT SPECIFIC INSTRUMENT
A method of guiding a glenoid prosthesis is disclosed. The method includes pre-operatively determining a position and an orientation of a guide feature of a glenoid guide of the present disclosure based on a scapula of a specific patient, and engaging the glenoid guide with the scapula; and inserting a pin having an axis through the guide feature to or through the scapula.
Humeral fixation plate guides
An anchor trajectory guide and methods of use thereof are provided. The guide includes a body that has a medial side. The medial side can be placed over a lateral side of a fixation plate. The anchor trajectory guide also includes a locator and a plurality of guide apertures. The locator is disposed on or through the medial side of the body. The locator can be mated with the fixation plate. The guide apertures are disposed through the body at positions corresponding to define anchor locations and orientations to provide good purchase adjacent to or in cortical bone around a medial side of a humerus.
Method for treating joint pain and associated instruments
The embodiments provide provides devices, instruments, and associated methods for treating joint pain. A joint is evaluated using magnetic resonance imaging to detect any defects in the subchondral bone. For example, using T2-weighted MRI images, bone marrow lesions or edemas can be identified, and using T1-weighted MRI images, associated regions of sclerotic bone adjacent to the bone marrow lesion can be identified. The treatment method may involve introducing a bone void filler material at the site to address the bone marrow lesion or edema, and/or drilling and inserting an implant to address the sclerotic bone, bone marrow lesion or edema, and insufficiency or stress fractures. An access path is mapped to a location in the subchondral region where the insufficiency fracture resides. The access path attempts to preserve an articular surface of the joint. A reinforcing member that stabilizes the insufficiency fracture is then implanted via the access path.
Method of humeral head resurfacing and/or replacement and system for accomplishing the method
A method, and devices for facilitating the method, for shoulder replacement surgery. The method entails establishing a mechanical support in a the anatomical neck plane of the proximal humeral head, fixing a jig to the mechanical support, where the jig supports a drill guide with its axis perpendicular to the anatomical neck plane, adjusting the drill guide it coincide with the axis of the humeral head, drilling a hole through the humeral head for insertion of a shaft which will support and rotate a reaming bit. The reaming bits used to resurface the humeral head and the glenoid fossa are inserted through the back of the patient, through a gap created between two easily separated muscles, rather than through a gap cut through the subscapularis muscle on the front of the joint. A suitable jig is provided to facilitate the method.
SHIELD GUIDE ASSEMBLY
This disclosure relates to shield guide assembly and methods for restoring functionality to a joint. The shield guide assembly disclosed herein include a shield dimensioned to block access through the shield onto an adjacent bone surface region during formation of one or more features along the surgical site.
Methods and devices for forming bone tunnels
Methods and devices are provided for forming bone tunnels. In general, the methods and devices allow multiple converging tunnels to be formed in bone, such as in an arthroscopic surgical procedure, e.g., a rotator cuff repair surgical procedure. One or more sutures can be advanced through the converging tunnels, and the suture(s) can be coupled to tissue. The suture(s) with the tissue coupled thereto can be tensioned, thereby helping to maximize an amount of the tissue in contact with the bone. In an exemplary embodiment, a guide device is provided that can be configured to allow a first tunnel to be formed in bone and to allow a plurality of additional tunnels to be formed in the bone at predetermined angular positions relative to the first tunnel such that each of the additional tunnels can extend transverse to the first tunnel and intersect the first tunnel.

APPARATUSES AND METHODS FOR IMPLANTING GLENOID PROSTHESES
Various apparatus and methods for implanting glenoid prostheses are disclosed. In various embodiments, a method for performing shoulder surgery can include guiding a guide pin into the glenoid surface along a reaming axis. A partial reaming guide can be placed in contact with the glenoid surface over the guide pin. A reamer can be guided over the guide pin to ream the glenoid surface. The reamer can be further advanced over the guide pin until the reamer contacts the partial reaming guide, whereby such contact limits reaming to only a portion of the glenoid surface.
