MEDICAL TREATMENT TOOL
20210267618 · 2021-09-02 · ·

A medical treatment tool includes: a forceps; an operating section; a sheath; first and second sections bending the sheath; and at least two wires passing through the first and second sections and transmitting, to the forceps, a force applied to the operating section. The sheath includes lumens allowing the wires to pass therethrough. With respect to a position of lumens at which the first and second sections are bent in opposite directions in the same plane, the lumens are twisted between the first and second sections in the same direction by the same angle that operating direction of the operating section is twisted relative to the opposite direction mentioned above. The first and second sections are bent in directions in which changes in path lengths of the wires by bending of the first bending section are offset by changes in the path lengths by bending of the second bending section.

Bent tubular shaft and method for producing the same
11015642 · 2021-05-25 · ·

A tubular shaft for a tubular shaft instrument includes a hollow shaft component, an actuating rod arranged in the hollow shaft component, and functional elements that are attached at the distal ends of the shaft component and/or of the actuating rod. The actuating rod is axially displaceable relative to the hollow shaft component to move the distal sections of the functional elements toward one another, past one another, and/or away from one another. The actuating rod includes at least one bending area in which flexible segments and support segments alternate and in which the actuating rod has significantly less bending resistance than outside the at least one bending area. A friction-reducing layer on the at least one bending area of the actuating rod reduces the friction of the actuating rod on the inside wall of the shaft component.

Implantation Systems and Related Methods of Implanting Tissue Stimulators
20210145423 · 2021-05-20 ·

A method of percutaneously implanting a tissue stimulator at a tissue of a body includes inserting a sheath of an implantation device into the body through an incision adjacent the tissue and inserting the tissue stimulator into the sheath to position one or more fixation mechanisms of the tissue stimulator near the tissue within the body. With at least a portion of the sheath inside of the body, the method further includes separating the sheath into two or more portions and moving the two or more portions apart from each other to remove the sheath from the tissue stimulator. The method further includes withdrawing the two or more portions of the sheath from the body through the incision.

HANDHELD ELECTROMECHANICAL SURGICAL DEVICE INCLUDING LOAD SENSOR HAVING SPHERICAL BALL PIVOTS
20210128153 · 2021-05-06 ·

A force sensor arrangement for use in a surgical device includes a support block supported within the surgical device and defining a support block surface; a load sensor disposed axially adjacent the support block, the load sensor defining a sensor surface; and a spherical disc interposed between the support block and the load sensor, and in contact with the support block surface and the sensor surface, wherein the spherical disc defines a first side in contact with the sensor surface, and a second side in contact with the support block surface, wherein the second side of the spherical disc has a spherical profile and the support block surface has a complimentary spherical profile.

TREATMENT SYSTEM
20210038059 · 2021-02-11 · ·

A treatment system includes a guide sheath provided with a pre-curved portion that has been preliminarily curved in a direction intersecting a longitudinal axis at a distal end of a tubular sheath body having the longitudinal axis, and an overtube forming a first lumen through which the guide sheath is passed and a second lumen through which an endoscope is passed, in which a cross-sectional shape of an inner peripheral surface defining the first lumen has a shape configured to house the guide sheath in a state where the pre-curved portion remains curved.
