The invention discloses an apparatus for adjusting the temperature of a body comprising a sheath for providing a channel from outside said body to a cavity inside said body, where said sheath comprises a guiding section being angular to said channel. The apparatus further comprises a heat exchange unit comprising an inlet and an outlet, an outer contour and an inner fluid channel, adapted for inserting through said channel of said sheath.

Methods and apparatus for facilitating direct visualized rhizotomy

Methods and apparatus for direct visual rhizotomy using an elongated tubular sheath. The sheath includes: a proximal end configured to removably receive a cannula; a distal end; a horizontal shaft having a longitudinal axis extending between the proximal end and the distal end; a first cut-away generally defining a first plane at the distal end, the first cut-away characterized by a first angle relative to a vertical plane; and a second cut-away generally defining a second plane at the distal end, the second cut-away characterized by a second angle relative to a horizontal plane. The sheath further includes an endoscope camera disposed at the distal end, the camera having a line of sight substantially orthogonal to the first plane.

Trocar assembly with a cleaning element for use during a laparoscopic procedure

The present disclosure relates to a trocar assembly with an integrated scope-cleaning structure. The trocar assembly may include a chamber with a proximal opening configured to receive a distal end of a scope. A cannula extend distally from the chamber and may be configured to extend distally into a patient body. The cannula may be further configured to receive the distal end of the scope such that the scope can be maneuvered through the cannula to a location within the patient body. The trocar assembly may include a cleaning element forming a surface within the chamber, where the surface of the cleaning element is configured to remove debris from at least one non-longitudinal, end-facing surface of the scope.

TROCAR ASSEMBLY WITH A MOVABLE CLEANING ELEMENT

A trocar assembly with an integrated scope-cleaning structure may have a proximal portion configured for accessibility by a user and a cannula extending distally from the proximal portion and configured to extend distally into a patient body, where the cannula is further configured to receive a distal end of a scope such that the scope can be maneuvered through the cannula to a location within the patient body. A cleaning element may be included, where the proximal portion includes a housing, where the cleaning element is substantially located within the housing.

INTRODUCER FOR INTRODUCTION OF A PROSTHESIS INTO A LUMEN OF A PATIENT
20180360491 · 2018-12-20 ·

An introducer and a delivery assembly for introduction of a prosthesis into a bodily lumen is disclosed. The introducer comprises: a sheath; a housing mounted to a distal end of the sheath, the housing having a passage there-through adapted to receive a delivery assembly; a port for introducing flushing fluid, the port communicating with the passage; and a liquid absorbing seal for sealably receiving the delivery assembly, the liquid absorbing seal disposed within the housing distally of the port. The delivery assembly comprises: a guide wire catheter; a tip mounted to a proximal end of the guide wire catheter; a distal delivery member mounted around the guide wire catheter and located distal of the tip; and a prosthesis receiving portion between the tip and the distal delivery member. The delivery assembly is slidably mounted through the introducer. Absorption of fluid swells the liquid absorbing seal.

Provided is a fluid wicking tip. The fluid wicking tipi includes a plurality of drip flanges arranged to wick fluid between narrow spaces defined between any two drip flanges. The narrow spaces are dimensioned to facilitate wicking by capillary action. Also provided is a syringe that includes the fluid wicking tip. Also provided is a modular syringe system that includes a syringe and a sleeve configured to be slidably disposed over the syringe.

SCOPE WITH INTEGRAL CLEANING ELEMENT FOR USE DURING A LAPAROSCOPIC PROCEDURE

A scope includes a housing having a distal portion with a distal end. A lens is at the distal end. A cleaning element is operatively coupled to the distal portion of the housing, wherein the cleaning element is movable between a first position and a second position contacting the distal end.

TROCAR ASSEMBLY WITH A CLEANING ELEMENT FOR USE DURING A LAPAROSCOPIC PROCEDURE

A trocar assembly includes a cannula having a proximal portion and an opposing distal portion. The distal portion is configured to extend into a patient body. The cannula defines an access channel between the proximal portion and the distal portion, wherein the access channel is configured to receive a scope such that the scope can be maneuvered through the access channel to a location within the patient body. A cleaning element at the distal portion is configured to contact at least a distal end of the scope.

Insufflation Retention Device
20180326165 · 2018-11-15 · ·

A probe may be inserted into a body cavity to perform diagnostic intervention(s), therapeutic intervention(s), or both. The probe may be inserted through a body aperture that is naturally occurring or man-made, intentionally or by accident. The body aperture may form a seal encircling the probe so that insufflation retention material may be effectively retained in the body cavity so that an operator can perform the intervention(s). However, there may be leakage of the insufflation material. The insufflation retention device is configured to form an effective seal contactingly adjacent the body aperture and to provide a passageway for the introduction of the probe into the body cavity, such that a diagnostic intervention or therapeutic intervention or both may be performed.
