Devices and systems for use in laparoscopic surgery
An access device for a minimally invasive procedure can include a port body defining an instrument channel for a medical instrument, a radial extension extending at least partially outward from the body in a radial direction. The radial extension can extend from a distal end of the port body. The radial extension can define an imaging device cavity defined therein spaced from the port body and opening distally from the radial extension. The imaging device cavity can be configured to receive an imaging device therein for providing images within a field of view that is at least partially distal of the port body.
Surgical Systems with Intraluminal and Extraluminal Cooperative Instruments
Surgical systems are provided. In one exemplary embodiment, a surgical system includes a first scope device having a first portion within an extraluminal space and a second portion positioned within an intraluminal space. The first scope device transmits image data of a first scene. A second scope device is disposed within the extraluminal space and transmits image data of a second scene. The first portion of the first instrument is present within the field of view of the second scope device to track the first scope device relative to the second scope device. A controller receives the transmitted image data of the first and second scenes, to determine a relative distance from the first scope device to the second scope device within the extraluminal space, and to provide a merged image. At least one of the first and second scope device in the merged image is a representative depiction thereof.
MINIMALLY INVASIVE SURGICAL DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS
A surgical instrument assembly is provided. In some embodiments, an example surgical instrument assembly includes a surgical instrument configured to pass through a guide tube having a proximal end and a distal end. The surgical instrument can include one or more arms configured to extend from the intermediate position, each arm having one or more joints positioned along the arm and an end effector attached at the distal end of each arm. The surgical instrument assembly can include a control assembly positioned at the proximal end and configured to control the movement of the joints and the end effectors.
Sealing multiple surgical instruments
A cannula cap is disclosed. A cannula cap according to some embodiments of the invention includes an instrument guide attachment; a cannula attachment; and a seal captured between the instrument guide attachment and the cannula attachment. In some embodiments, a cannula cap can include a lid; a locking ring; a base; and a cannula seal captured between the lid and the base.
Arthroscopic cannula
Disclosed is an arthroscopic cannula to solve the problem of more wounds being created due to the use of a plurality of cannulas in a conventional arthroscopic surgery. The arthroscopic cannula includes a cannula body, a spacer provided inside the cannula body and extending axially along the cannula body to divide an internal space of the cannula body into a first chamber and a second chamber, and a joint connected to one end of the cannula body. The interior of the joint intercommunicates with the first chamber and the second chamber.

Systems and methods for treating cellulite including an apparatus that applies or a method involving separating septa to eliminate or reduce the appearance of cellulite. In one approach, an interventional tool is placed between tissue layers to engage and treat septa connecting tissue layers between which fat deposits are contained.
INSTRUMENT ENTRY GUIDE
Disclosed are medical devices for surgical procedures, especially procedures that involve the manipulation of surgical instrument end effectors close to the skin surface at an incision site. In accordance with some embodiments, an instrument access device is configured to couple to a wound retractor at a distal end of the device and to receive a multiple instrument entry guide in a port at the proximal end of the instrument access device, with an envelope between the distal and proximal ends defining a sealed cavity for maintaining insufflation pressure. Various embodiments provide means for rotating an assistant port in the envelope about a port that receives the instrument entry guide without twisting the envelope. Also disclosed are various envelope shapes. Also disclosed is an instrument entry guide that aligns surgical instrument shafts.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ARTHROSCOPIC VISUALIZATION
The present disclosure is directed to arthroscopic visualization systems and methods. The visualization system can include a camera with a fluid inflow path, wherein a proximal end of the camera is configured to fluidly connect a fluid reservoir to the fluid inflow path. The system can also include a cannula with a lumen, wherein the lumen is configured to be fluidly connected to the fluid inflow path at a distal end of the camera. In addition, the system can also include a scope, wherein the scope is configured to be connected to the distal end of the camera and a portion of the scope is configured to be inserted into the lumen of the cannula.
Electrophysiology mapping and visualization system
Electrophysiology mapping and visualization systems are described herein where such devices may be used to visualize tissue regions as well as map the electrophysiological activity of the tissue. Such a system may include a deployment catheter and an attached hood deployable into an expanded configuration. In use, the imaging hood is placed against or adjacent to a region of tissue to be imaged in a body lumen that is normally filled with an opaque bodily fluid such as blood. A translucent or transparent fluid, such as saline, can be pumped into the imaging hood until the fluid displaces any blood, thereby leaving a clear region of tissue to be imaged via an imaging element in the deployment catheter. A position of the catheter and/or hood may be tracked and the hood may also be used to detect the electrophysiological activity of the visualized tissue for mapping.

An articulating working channel system for use with a plurality of flexible tools which are adapted to be interleaved in a single surgical procedure, comprising: a working channel subassembly including a hollow flexible shaft; and a surgical tool subassembly including the flexible tool, wherein the flexible tool includes a flexible tube which is adapted to be inserted into the flexible shaft and wherein the flexible shaft is adapted to be articulated and the flexible tube is adapted to be passively articulated therewith.
