MULTI-LUMEN-CATHETER SYSTEM FOR A MINIMALLY-INVASIVE TREATMENT

A system for performing minimally invasive procedures in a body lumen of a patient including a flexible catheter having a first lumen configured and dimensioned to receive an endoscope therethrough and a second lumen configured and dimensioned to receive a first flexible tube therethrough. The first flexible tube is movable through the second lumen and has a distal portion including a first curve extending in a first direction with respect to the longitudinal axis and a second curve extending in a second different direction with respect to the longitudinal axis. A retractor system is positioned at a distal portion of the catheter and is movable from a non-expanded insertion position to an expanded position forming an expanded cage to form a larger working space. The distal portion of the first flexible tube is movable within the expanded cage.

In at least some aspects, an instrument port for introducing an instrument into a surgical site comprises: a port body having: an instrument channel extending through the port body; and a plurality of fluid flush channels each separate from one another and the instrument channel, each extending along a major portion of the port body and in fluid communication with the instrument channel; and a bulb comprising a bulb channel extending through the bulb, the bulb channel aligned with the instrument channel, wherein the bulb channel and instrument channel are configured to receive the instrument.

Device for creating an intercostal transcutaneous access to an, in particular endoscopic, operating field

A device for creating an intercostal transcutaneous access to an, in particular endoscopic, operating field including a base body, which closely surrounds an incision all-side frame-shaped and with at least two webs mounted on the base body, which can be introduced into an intercostal space, by which two ribs arranged next to each other can be moved apart. To create a device for creating an intercostal transcutaneous access to an, in particular endoscopic, operating field which allows individual pressing apart of the ribs, it is proposed according to the invention that the at least two webs are mounted adjustable relative to each other on the base body.

Trocar System

A trocar system, having a trocar, a trocar sleeve, an optical channel extending coaxially in the trocar for receiving an optical unit, and a hollow transparent distal tip of the trocar, which can be observed from the interior by means of the optical unit, wherein a working channel extends continuously from the proximal end to the distal end in the trocar and opens into an outlet opening in the region of the distal end, and wherein the inner wall of the working channel is formed at least in an axially continuous sub-region of the circumference thereof by the trocar sleeve.

Apparatus and method for minimally invasive surgery

A single body port or body flange access device and method for performing laparoscopic surgery are disclosed. The device comprises a plurality of crisscrossing conduits through which surgical instruments may be inserted. The instruments are manipulated so that triangulation is obtained using one patient body flange while standard surgical procedures are performed on the patient.

SURGICAL ACCESS DEVICES THAT INCLUDE AN ELONGATE OPENING WITH AN ADJUSTABLE ENTRY PORT DISPOSED IN THE OPENING

Surgical access devices having wound closure features incorporated as part of the device are provided. The devices allow suture to be inserted directly into the device and operated to close an opening through which the device is disposed as or shortly after the device is removed from the surgical site. Further, the wound closure features allow for various orientations of wound closure to be achieved by adjusting an angle at which the suture enters tissue surrounding the opening to be closed. Some of the wound closure features provided for include openings formed in both the housing and cannula of the surgical access device, multiple openings formed in one or both the housing and cannula, locations of the openings being adjustable or otherwise movable, and various flexible seals. Other features, as well as methods of closing an opening through which the surgical access device was disposed, are also provided.

The disclosure includes systems and methods for performing surgery. In a first aspect, the system includes a trocar having in a nested configuration, an outer cannula, an inner cannula disposed within the outer cannula, the inner cannula defining the central longitudinal lumen at least in part to provide access through the trocar, a tube center component disposed within the outer cannula, and a ring jet assembly disposed within the outer cannula. In a further aspect, the system includes an instrument guide disposed in the central longitudinal lumen of the trocar. The instrument guide has a proximal end, a distal end, and a plurality of channels defined through the instrument guide from the proximal end to the distal end, each channel being adapted and configured to receive a surgical instrument.

SHEATH CAP AND ENDOSCOPE INTRODUCER SHEATH WITH SHEATH CAP

A sheath cap includes a housing collar and a cylinder which is coaxially fixed on the inner surface of one end of the housing collar. The cylinder is internally provided with instrument channel straight holes and a water spray channel straight hole which are parallel to the axial direction of the cylinder. The sheath cap is provided with an oblique hole, which is in communication with the water spray channel straight hole and is configured to spray water to the lateral front side of the sheath cap.

An object of the present invention is to provide an endoscopic surgery device and an outer tube, capable of easily obtaining an image desired by an operator to facilitate treatment as well as of performing minimally invasive surgery. In the endoscopic surgery device and the outer tube, an endoscope and a treatment tool are inserted into a body cavity through an outer tube. The outer tube is provided with a built-in slider. The slider is provided so as to be axially movable in the outer tube body. The endoscope and the treatment tool, inserted into the outer tube, are held by the slider. Moving the treatment tool allows endoscope to be moved in conjunction with the movement of the treatment tool.
