X-WING ENHANCED GUIDANCE SYSTEM FOR DISTAL TARGETING

A surgical instrument assembly configured to display a representation of the surgical instrument relative to a trajectory (e.g., a desired trajectory for drilling into an implant) based image data from an image sensor (e.g., a camera). For example, the surgical instrument assembly may be configured to determine a desired trajectory (e.g., a central axis of a distal hole of an intramedullary nail) based on X-ray image data representing at least one fiducial marker (e.g., an array of ArUco markers) and representing an anatomical structure and/or an implant. The surgical instrument assembly may in real time display a representation of the orientation and/or position of the surgical instrument (e.g., the orientation and position of a drill bit of the surgical instrument) in relation to the desired trajectory based on image sensor data that is generated based on an orientation of the at least one fiducial marker detected by an image sensor.

BONE FRACTURE FIXATION DEVICE AND RELATED SYSTEMS AND METHODS

The various embodiments disclosed herein relate to bone fixation devices, including intramedullary fixation or fusion devices. The various devices disclosed include an intermedullary rod or device having a proximal and a distal portion. The proximal and distal portions having articulated ends that are coupled to form a joint. The joint may be actuated to reduce a fracture and realign the bone after insertion of the device into the bone.

BONE FIXATION SYSTEM AND ELEMENTS THEREOF

A fixation system (900) for the fixation of a first bone fragment (932) relative to a second bone fragment (934); the fixation system (900) comprising at least one first bone engagement element engagable with the first bone fragment (932), wherein the first bone engagement element has an elongate body portion, a proximal end, a distal end, and a passageway extending through the body portion from the proximal end to the distal end, at least one further bone engagement element engageable with the second bone fragment (934) and having a tensile element (920) securement portion for affixing a tensile element (920) to the further bone engagement element; wherein the tensile element (920) passing the first bone engagement element when engaged with the first bone fragment (932) is fixed relative to the further bone engagement element when engaged with the second bone fragment (934) by the tensile element (920) securement portion; such that the first bone fragment (932) is affixed relative to the second bone fragment (934) from tensile stress in the tensile element (920).

Surgical navigation system support array

A system (100) and device (300) for mounting and tracking a tracker array during a surgical procedure are described. For example, the system includes a surgical navigation system (700) including a position tracking system (702) configured to track one or more tracker arrays, and a device (300) for mounting a tracker array (306) onto a patient during the surgical procedure. The device includes an intramedullary (IM) canal component (304) configured to be inserted into an IM canal (310) within a bone (312). The device further includes a tracker pin (308) configured to penetrate at least a portion of the bone and engage an inserted end (411, 413) of the IM canal component, and a tracker array (306) affixed to the tracker pin. The IM canal component is configured to engage the IM canal of the bone to stabilize the tracker array during the surgical procedure.
