CERCLAGE CABLE SYSTEM AND APPARATUS
A cerclage cable system is disclosed which includes a bone plate, one or more securing devices, and one or more cerclage cables. The bone plate includes a plurality of bone plate apertures thereupon, wherein the bone plate is configured to be affixed to a bone. The one or more securing devices include a body having a proximal end and a distal end, wherein at least one securing device aperture is disposed toward the proximal end, wherein the distal end of the securing device is configured to be inserted into and received by the plurality of bone plate apertures. The one or more cerclage cables include two terminal ends, wherein the one or more cerclage cables are wrapped around the bone, wherein one terminal end of the one or more cerclage cables is passed through at least one securing device aperture.
Sternum Fixation Devices and Methods
A sternum fixation device includes a plate having a first end and a second end, a right lateral edge and a left lateral edge, an inner side configured for placement against the sternum, and an outer side. A first lobe includes a band socket defined as a blind recess in the outer side of the plate. The band socket includes a right lateral stop and a left lateral stop opposite the right lateral stop. A right lateral channel is defined in the first lobe from the right lateral edge to the band socket, the right lateral channel defined above a right side floor in the socket. A left lateral channel opposite the right lateral channel is defined in the first lobe from the left lateral edge to the band socket, the left lateral channel defined above a left floor in the socket.
REUSABLE SURGICAL GUIDE FOR OSTEOSYNTHESIS SURGERY IN PARTICULAR OF THE HALLUX VALGUS
The present invention concerns a reusable surgical guide for osteosynthesis surgery, forming an aimer for guiding and inserting axial wires into bone portions; said guide comprises a grip constituted by a head extending at the upper end of a base, a trigger adapted to be displaced in a first slide formed in the head of the grip and whose distal end is provided with a through hole for the insertion of a wire, a blade secured to the distal end of the head of the grip, under the trigger, and a so-called aiming piece adapted to be displaced in a second slide formed in the base of the grip, said aiming piece comprising at the distal end thereof means for supporting at least one wire.
TISSUE FIXATION SYSTEM AND METHOD
Methods and devices for stabilizing spinal anatomical structures. Some example methods may include introducing a curved segment of an elongate fastener placement rod adjacent to a bone, providing a fastener at the leading end of the curved segment, and/or securing the fastener in place with respect to the bone.
Bone repair system, kit and method
A bone repair system, kit and method for percutaneous repair of a bone segment containing a first bone segment and a second bone segment in a patient, each bone segment having a drill hole. The system comprises a longitudinal member configured to contact the first bone segment and the second bone segment and having at least one opening and cleats on the side adapted to contact the first bone segment and the second bone segment; a first fastener assembly configured to be disposed through the opening of the longitudinal member to hold the longitudinal member in place through the opening and the hole in the first bone segment; and a second fastener assembly configured to be disposed through the opening of the longitudinal member to hold the longitudinal member in place through the opening and the hole in the second bone segment.
Surgical instrument set for use during unilateral biportal endoscopy
Disclosed is a method of unilateral biportal endoscopy and a surgical instrument set used in the same. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method of unilateral biportal endoscopy which separately secures a working portal for surgical instruments and an endoscopic portal for an endoscope, thereby providing a more accurate spinal surgery, and to a surgical instrument set which can be effectively applied to the method.
Surgical instrument for tightening a bone fixation member around bone
Disclosed is a surgical instrument for tightening a bone fixation member around bone. The instrument comprises a body with a gripping portion extending from the body and configured to be grasped by a hand, a clamp for clamping a bone fixation member and a clamp carrier connected to and movably guided relative to the body. The clamp is connected to and movably guided relative to the clamp carrier. The instrument further comprises an actuator connected to and movably guided relative to the body, and configured to be operated by a hand, wherein the actuator is configured to move the clamp carrier via the clamp.
SHUTTLE CABLE TRANSPORTING DEVICE AND METHOD
A surgical device for controlling a shuttle cable, comprises a shaft, a capture mechanism comprising a first and second jaw and cavity therebetween accessible by a shuttle cable, and a gate connected to a jaw and in rigid communication with a flexible hinge, the hinge operable to allow the gate to deflect from a closed position to an open position by a force acting on the distal side of the gate, wherein the gate resiliently returns from an open position to a closed position, the capture mechanism is operable to allow the shuttle cable to slide axially through a containment aperture. A method comprises guiding the surgical device through a bone aperture, coupling the surgical device to a portion of the shuttle cable; and retrieving the capture mechanism through the aperture to the first side of the bone.
ANCHOR APPARATUS
An anchor for anchoring tensile members to bone includes: a housing extending along a central axis, with a hollow interior; a collet in the hollow interior having a central bore for accepting tensile members and an exterior surface, the collet being configured to swage around and against tensile members; a sleeve having a peripheral wall defining interior and exterior surfaces, the sleeve disposed in the housing's hollow interior axially adjacent to the collet, and movable parallel to the central axis between first and second positions; and wherein at least one of the collet exterior surface and the sleeve interior surface is tapered and the sleeve and the collet are arranged so movement of the sleeve from the first position to the second position causes the sleeve interior surface to bear against the collet exterior surface, causing the collet to swage radially inwards around and against one or more tensile members.
WIRE PASSER SYSTEM AND METHOD
A wire passer system for passing a surgical wire around a bone. The wire passer system broadly comprises a gun assembly, a flexible push member, and a surgical wire. The gun assembly can comprise a handle, a trigger, a rigid guide section, a support guide, a push rod, and tensioner.
