SHEATH FOR PERCUTANEOUS CABLE INSERTION (SPCI)
A cable passer sheath engages the end hole of a cable passer. The sheath includes an outer body having an outer diameter and having a cable passer engagement opening at a cable passer engagement end thereof and a cable engagement opening at a cable engagement end thereof. The cable passer engagement opening and cable engagement opening are connected by a passage through the outer body.
Cerclage cable system and apparatus
A cerclage cable system is disclosed which includes a bone plate, one or more securing devices, and one or more cerclage cables. The bone plate includes a plurality of bone plate apertures thereupon, wherein the bone plate is configured to be affixed to a bone. The one or more securing devices include a body having a proximal end and a distal end, wherein at least one securing device aperture is disposed toward the proximal end, wherein the distal end of the securing device is configured to be inserted into and received by the plurality of bone plate apertures. The one or more cerclage cables include two terminal ends, wherein the one or more cerclage cables are wrapped around the bone, wherein one terminal end of the one or more cerclage cables is passed through at least one securing device aperture.
Tether tensioning instrumentation and related methods
Tether tensioning instruments, such as instruments used to tension and/or lock a tether about a spinal feature to assist in spinal fixation, and related methods and systems. In some embodiments, the instrument may comprise a handle, a tensioner base coupled with the handle, at least a portion thereof being movably coupled to the handle, and a tether coupling member coupled with the tensioner base and configured to fixedly engage a tether. The instrument may further comprise a tensioner tip movably coupled with the tensioner base, wherein at least a portion of the tensioner base is biased away from the tensioner tip, and wherein the instrument is configured to allow for step-wise movement of the tensioner tip away from the tensioner base to increase tension between the tether and an element of the spinal fixation system.
Wire passer system and method
A wire passer system for passing a surgical wire around a bone. The wire passer system broadly comprises a gun assembly, a flexible push member, and a surgical wire. The gun assembly can comprise a handle, a trigger, a rigid guide section, a support guide, a push rod, and tensioner.
Securing a bone graft to the glenoid bone and implementations thereof
A method of securing a bone graft to an anterior surface of a patient's glenoid bone, including drilling first and second bores through a posterior surface to an anterior surface of the glenoid bone; measuring a medial distance of the first bore; transferring the medial distance to a bone block; drilling a third bore based on the medial distance through the bone block to match the first bore; positioning the bone block in contacting relation with the anterior surface of the glenoid bone, and coaxially lining up the third bore with the first bore; positioning a first fastener through the third bore and the first bore; drilling a fourth bore in the bone block by positioning a drill bit through the second bore from the posterior side of the glenoid bone, and extending the drill bit from the first surface of the bone block to the second surface of the bone block; and positioning a second fastener through the fourth bore and the second bore.
Bone fixation system
A system and method for osseous fixation is a surgical hardware device that allows bone fixation for purposes of fracture repair, arthrodesis, or other types of orthopedic applications. A partially threaded wire or pin is inserted into the bone and external compression and rotational stability are achieved with a locking cap. The locking cap may include serrations or other anti-rotation features which engage bone to provide rotational stability. Upon adequate bone healing, the external cap may be used to facilitate removal of the wire/pin from the bone.

An assembly for assisting with positioning of an intervertebral implant, including an implant holder having an elongate body extending along a longitudinal axis between first and second ends, the first end being adapted to be attached to the stabilising wedge of an intervertebral implant, the first end of the implant holder having a deflection device including an opening having a central axis substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the implant holder but not converging with the longitudinal axis, the opening allowing the braid of an implant to pass therethrough in such a way that, when in use, the braid may have a first portion extending substantially perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis from the implant to the opening, and a second portion extending from the opening to the free end in a plane substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the implant holder to allow the tensioning of the braid.
BONE TIE METHODS
Various embodiments of bone ties, bone tie inserters, and methods for treating the spine are provided. The methods can include wrapping the bone tie around transverse processes of adjacent vertebrae to correct coronal plane deformity. The methods can include wrapping the bone tie around the spinous process of one vertebra and around the transverse process of a second adjacent vertebra to achieve rotational correction. The methods can include wrapping the bone tie around the lamina of adjacent vertebrae to achieve sagittal correction. The methods can include applying tension to the bone tie to set the sagittal correction. The methods can include passing the bone tie through a lumen in a vertebral body or a pedicle of the inferior vertebra and the lamina or articular process of the superior vertebra.
RIGID STERNAL FIXATION
An anchor assembly, for securing a first portion and a second portion of a separated sternum, can include a lock, an anchor, and a cerclage. The anchor can include a body locatable between the first portion and the second portion of the sternum, where the body can define an end portion. The anchor can include a collar connected to the body and extending outward from the end portion of the body. The collar can engage an outer surface of the sternum to limit movement of the body beyond the outer surface of the sternum. The cerclage can be connected to and can extend from the anchor. The cerclage can be configured to at least partially surround the first portion and the second portion of the separated sternum.
