The controller is configured to set, based on a required output required in accordance with electrical power to be consumed by a load, an operation mode for each of the fuel cells to one mode determined from a plurality of modes including a first electrical power generation mode under which starting and stopping of generation of electrical power are repeated, a second electrical power generation mode under which generation of electrical power continues, and a stop mode under which generation of electrical power is stopped.

The warm-up apparatus includes: a secondary battery cooling circuit that cools the secondary battery; a fuel cell cooling circuit that cools the fuel cell; a connection passage that connects the secondary battery cooling circuit and the fuel cell cooling circuit through a switching valve; and a warm-up control unit that, during charging of the secondary battery, controls the switching valve so that the secondary battery cooling circuit and the fuel cell cooling circuit communicate through the connection passage.

The primary and secondary redox flow battery arrangements share the anolyte and catholyte tanks and each includes a first half-cell including a first electrode in contact with the anolyte, a second half-cell including a second electrode in contact with the catholyte, a separator separating the first half-cell from the second half-cell, an anolyte pump, and a catholyte pump. The peak power delivery capacity of the secondary redox flow battery arrangement is less than the peak power delivery capacity of the primary redox flow battery arrangement.

According to one embodiment of the present invention, the method for controlling the pump speed of a redox flow battery for transferring an electrolyte stored in an electrolyte tank to a cell stack comprises the steps of: measuring the input power and/or the output power of the redox flow battery; measuring the charging power and/or the discharging power of the redox flow battery; calculating the power loss of the redox flow battery by using the difference between the input power and the charging power, or the difference between the output power and the discharging power; and adjusting the pump speed according to the power loss.

A rational fuel-cell power following strategy is made according to values such as vehicle fuel-cell power, battery power, and SOC (state of charge) of a lithium-ion battery; in the same time window, effects of different fuel-cell power growth rates on SOC of the lithium-ion battery are tested according to vehicle requirements; and at the same fuel-cell growth rate, effects of different time windows on SOC of the lithium-ion battery are tested according to vehicle requirements; a proper time window and a proper fuel-cell power change rate are found, so that the SOC value of the lithium-ion battery fluctuates within a certain range. The present invention can achieve a good operation mode of power distribution between the fuel cell and the lithium-ion battery, ensuring rational utilization of resources, thereby extending the application range of the lithium-ion battery to the maximum extent.
