Disclosed herein includes a wireless electronic device, including an outer casing, an antenna, and a metallic sheet. The outer casing may be electrically non-conductive. The antenna may be disposed within the outer casing and configured to perform wireless communication of signals at an operating wavelength of λ unit length. The metallic sheet may be disposed on a portion of the outer casing and placed at a distance of at least λ/25 unit length apart from the antenna. The metallic sheet may be configured to shield a subject exposed to energy radiated by the antenna to limit the specific absorption rate (SAR) of the subject to less than 1.6 W/kg.

The ground element has a slot. The first radiation element is coupled to a feeding point. The second radiation element is coupled to the ground element. The third radiation element is coupled to the feeding point and has a hollow portion. The third radiation element is substantially surrounded by the ground element, the first radiation element, and the second radiation element. An antenna structure is formed by the ground element, the first radiation element, the second radiation element, and the third radiation element.

An information handling system may include a processor; a memory; a power management unit (PMU); a wireless interface adapter to communicate via an antenna to a wireless network; an antenna controller to: receive, via a sideband wireless communication link, network telemetry data descriptive of network operating frequency bands and network frequency channels from a remote optimizing information handling system management system for a wireless protocol; receive operating characteristics associated with the operation of the information handling system indicating at least one detuning trigger for a network operating frequency band for a wireless protocol link for the wireless network; execute instructions of an antenna tuning algorithm to determine a tune state of the antenna, and issue instructions to a radio frequency switch including a resistor, inductor, and capacitor (RLC) circuit tuner at the antenna to tune the antenna to transceive data at the network operating frequency band to a target frequency commensurate with the network telemetry data descriptive of the wireless link according to the tune state.

The radiating structure comprises: a ground plane layer having a first connection point; a single radiation booster having a first connection point; a radiofrequency system comprising a first input port, a plurality of external output ports, and a plurality of branches, at least some of the plurality of branches being connected to a common point connected to the first input port, wherein each of the plurality of external output ports provides operation in at least one of the at least two frequency regions of operation; and a first internal port defined between the first connection point of the radiation booster and the first connection point of the ground plane layer, the first internal port being connected to the first input port of the radiofrequency system.
