Wire clamp

A wire clamp includes a base and first and second jaws. The first jaw is pivotally mounted to a first upright portion of the base via a first pivot axle, and the second jaw is pivotally mounted to a second upright portion of the base via a second pivot axle. The first and second jaws crisscross each other at an overlap area, and are spring-biased to pivot relative to the base towards a closed position. Respective hook members of the first and second jaws define a mouth above the overlap area that is configured to receive a wire. A size of the mouth adjusts automatically to a size of the wire within the mouth as the first and second jaws pivot towards the closed position. The wire may be held within the mouth in an in-line orientation with a corresponding terminal to which the wire will be crimped.

Method and device for producing an electrical cable

The invention relates to a device (1) for producing an electrical cable (2) which has a cable film (20). The device has a film working module (9) for reducing the mechanical loadability of the cable film (20) at a crack position (PR) which is provided along a cable centre axis (M). The film working module (9) has a round blade (33) in order to cut into at least one outer layer, which is remote from the cable centre axis (M), of the cable film (20) at the crack position (PR).

System for servicing cable

A system for servicing cable includes a field-end assembly and a live-end assembly, each mounted on a support structure having at least one drive mechanism operable to cause relative linear movement between the field-end assembly and the live-end assembly. A drilling-and-shorting assembly can create a short circuit in a field-end of the cable, and a continuity tester can test the integrity of the short-circuit. The field end of the cable can then be ejected from the system, and an end-cap-cradle assembly can position an end cap on a live end of an electrical cable and test its installation.

Method for removing insulation from inner conductors of a cable, and stripping device
11159002 · 2021-10-26 · ·

A method for removing insulation from inner conductors of a cable having a first section with a cable sheath removed and a second section with the cable sheath not removed utilizes a stripping device to perform the following steps: inserting the first section between a first rotatable roller and a second rotatable roller of the stripping device; moving the first roller and/or the second roller toward each other to clamp the first section between the rollers; moving the cable in a first direction that moves the second section away from the rollers; moving the cable in a second direction opposite the first direction that moves the second section toward the rollers; moving stripping blades toward the first section to cut into the insulation of the inner conductors; and moving the cable in the first direction to remove at least part of the insulation from the inner conductors.

Cut-away cutting tool

A cut-away cutting tool has two slit forming blade portions and a peeling blade portion interposed between the two slit forming blade portions. The two slit forming blade portions respectively form slits on an insulating coating of a flat conductor wire. On the other hand, the peeling blade portion peels off a portion of the insulating coating between the slits formed by the two slit forming blade portions.

FOIL PEELING APPARATUS AND FOIL PEELING METHOD

A foil peeling apparatus includes an electric wire gripping unit configured to grip a multi-core electric wire including wire members linearly arranged in parallel, a foil covering the wire members, and a sheath covering the foil, the sheath being peeled off at a tip end portion of the electric wire such that the foil is exposed. The foil peeling apparatus further includes: a wire member space forming unit configured to be pressed against an exposed portion of the foil between the wire members so as to form a space between the wire members; a foil cutting unit configured to be abutted against the exposed portion of the foil corresponding to the space formed between the wire members so as to form a cut in the foil; and a foil removal unit configured to open the foil from the cut, and cut the foil which has been opened.

Coating-peeling apparatus of rectangular conductor wire

The present invention relates to a method of coating-peeling and a coating-peeling apparatus. The method of coating-peeling includes a gripping step and a peeling step, and peels by a pair of peeling blades peeling target portions of an insulating coating covering peeling target side surfaces of a rectangular conductor wire. In the gripping step, abutting sections of a pair of gripping members abut on gripping target portions of the insulating coating, whereby the rectangular conductor wire is gripped between the abutting sections. In the peeling step, in a state where the rectangular conductor wire has been gripped by the gripping members, the peeling blades are moved relatively following a surface direction of the peeling target side surfaces while opposing each other sandwiching the peeling target side surfaces, whereby the peeling target portions are peeled.

A wire and a stripping method thereof, and a light strip are provided. The stripping method includes the following steps: holding a wire by a holder, the wire including an insulation layer and a conductor covered by the insulation layer; mounting the holder on a worktable of a an optical device; and activating a light emitter of the optical device to emit a light beam irradiating onto the insulation layer to ablate a portion of the insulation layer to form at least one through hole that penetrates the insulation layer to expose a portion of the conductor.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING A PLUG CONNECTOR
