Embodiments include instrumentation comprising a scalpet assembly coupled to a carrier, and the scalpet assembly includes a scalpet array. The scalpet array includes one or more scalpets configured for fractional resection, fractional lipectomy, fractional skin grafting, and/or fractional scar revision. The system includes a vacuum component coupled to the scalpet assembly and configured to evacuate tissue from the a site. The carrier is configured to control application of a rotational force and/or a vacuum force to the scalpet assembly.
MICRONEEDLE TREATMENT SYSTEM
Described herein is a microneedle treatment system to reduce fat deposits directly under or in close proximity to skin, and to deliver energy or non-energy treatments to thicken and tighten dermis to treat skin laxity, wrinkles, improve skin scars, and other skin problems. The system can include a disposable patch with a microneedle array, and an overlying mask. The patch can be directly connected to a power source or an overlying mask can be configured to be placed directly over the disposable patch. The overlying mask can include a drive circuitry configured to deliver energy into the microneedle array, a sensor configured for localized sensing, and a telemetry uplink to smart phone, a computer or a computer network. Also described is a method to reduce fat deposits in close proximity to skin, and to deliver energy or non-energy treatments to thicken and tighten dermis using a microneedle array.
NON-INVASIVE, UNIFORM AND NON-UNIFORM RF METHODS AND SYSTEMS RELATED APPLICATIONS
Systems and methods utilizing RF energy to treat a patient's skin or other target tissues are provided herein. In various aspects, the methods and systems described herein can provide a RF-based treatment in which RF energy can be selectively controlled to facilitate heating uniformity during one or more of body sculpting treatment (lipolysis), skin tightening treatment (laxity improvement), cellulite treatment, all by way of non-limiting examples. In various aspects, the systems may include a flexible applicator comprising a plurality of layers, the plurality of layers comprises a first dielectric layer, a second dielectric layer, and a conductive layer, wherein the first dielectric layer and the second dielectric layer sandwich the conductive layer, the plurality of layers define a plurality of kerfs, an inner region and N regions extending from the inner region, wherein the plurality of kerfs divide the applicator into N regions.
Methods, systems, and apparatuses for tissue ablation using electrolysis and permeabilization
Example apparatuses and systems are disclosed for providing controlled delivery of electrolysis treatment and cellular permeabilization treatment to a site in tissue. A system disclosed may include an electrode, a power supply, and a controller. The controller may control a charge applied to the electrode to induce a direct current through the aqueous matrix to produce electrolysis products and a voltage to produce electroporation. The duration and magnitude of the charge applied may determine the dose of the products and the degree of the permeabilization of cells in the treatment site. The composition of the electrodes may be chosen in accordance with the desired products produced and electroporation effects. An apparatus is disclosed that may be in the form of electrodes for electrolysis and electrodes for electroporation applied to the tissue. An apparatus is disclosed that may be used for treating internal tissue.
Aesthetic method of biological structure treatment by magnetic field
Combined methods for treating a patient using time-varying magnetic field are described. The treatment methods combine various approaches for aesthetic treatment. The methods are focused on enhancing a visual appearance of the patient.
Treatment systems, methods, and apparatuses for improving the appearance of skin and providing other treatments
Treatment systems, methods, and apparatuses for improving the appearance of skin or other target regions are described as well as for providing for other treatments. Aspects of the technology are directed to improving the appearance of skin by tightening the skin, improving skin tone or texture, eliminating or reducing wrinkles, increasing skin smoothness, or improving the appearance of cellulite. Treatments can include cooling a surface of a patient's skin and detecting at least one freeze event in the cooled skin. The treatment system can continue cooling the patient's skin after the freeze event(s) are detected so to maintain at least a partially frozen state of the tissue for a period of time.
VIBRATING SURGICAL INSTRUMENT FOR LIPOSUCTION AND OTHER BODY CONTOURING APPLICATIONS
A vibrating hand held surgical instrument for loosening tissue of a patient for liposuction or body contouring procedures. The instrument includes a motor connected to a vibration actuator having an eccentric rotating mass and an end effector for engaging tissue operatively connected to the vibration actuator, wherein the motor rotates the eccentric mass to cause the end effector to vibrate to loosen tissue. A flexible shaft having first end and second ends dampen the vibration to the motor and to the operator handle.
Cooling and Refrigeration Based on Vacuum-Driven Water Evaporation
Apparatus for cooling an object, space, or tissues of a patient. A vacuum chamber is designed to be placed in thermal contact with the object or space to be cooled, or against a patient to be treated. A water sprayer is configured to spray water into the vacuum chamber or against a cooling wall of the chamber. A vacuum pump and control are designed to maintain vacuum below ambient pressure in the vacuum chamber sufficient to cause accelerated evaporation of the water and cooling to a temperature desired for cooling of the object, space, or patient.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR TREATING TISSUE
A device and method for treating tissue. Two or more pairs of needle electrodes are spaced about a zone and each pair of needle electrodes includes a first needle electrode on one side of the zone and a second needle electrode on an opposite side of the zone. An energy source for each pair of needle electrodes is configured to induce current from the first needle electrode of the pair to only the second needle electrode of the pair through the interior of the zone to increase the total current density and temperature in the interior of the zone.
