Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine an offset associated with a propagation delay in a network, wherein hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback is enabled at the UE, and may monitor for a retransmission of a downlink communication in the network according to the offset. In some aspects, a UE may start a timer associated with monitoring for a retransmission of a downlink communication in a network, wherein HARQ feedback is disabled at the UE, and may monitoring for the retransmission of the downlink communication after starting the timer or after expiration of the timer. Numerous other aspects are provided.

A method for controlling data retransmission is provided. Data is transmitted to network device and a timer is started. The data is retransmitted after the timer expires if a HARQ-ACK feedback corresponding to the data is not received before the timer expires. Or the data is retransmitted if a HARQ-NACK feedback corresponding to the data is received from the network device before the timer expires.

PROCEDURES FOR CONFIGURED GRANTS

Techniques are described herein for improved methods, systems, devices, and apparatuses that support procedures for configured grants. Generally, the described techniques may relate to restricting a number of retransmissions used during a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process or managing potential scheduling conflicts for the HARQ process from dynamic grants and configured grants. A device (e.g., a user equipment) may initiate a timer or a counter associated with a HARQ process for indicating that transmission attempts for the HARQ process are permitted. The device may identify a transmission occasion of a configured grant in an unlicensed frequency spectrum band that is associated with the HARQ process and may determine that the timer associated with the HARQ process is active. The device may perform a transmission attempt over the transmission occasion of the configured grant based on determining that the timer is active.

Offset Parameters for Uplink Control Information

A wireless device receives radio resource control message(s) indicating: first uplink resources, of an uplink data channel, for a periodic resource allocation; a first offset parameter for uplink control information (UCI) transmission via the periodic resource allocation; and a plurality of second offset parameters for UCI transmission via a dynamic grant. A first UCI is transmitted via a number of the first uplink resources. The number of the first uplink resources is determined based on the first offset parameter. A downlink control information is received. The downlink control information comprises: an uplink grant indicating second uplink resources of the uplink data channel; and an offset indicator value indicating one of the plurality of second offset parameters. A second UCI is transmitted via a number of the second uplink resources. The number of the second uplink resources is determined based on the offset indicator value.

ADJUSTING RETRANSMISSION TIMING FOR A CONFIGURED GRANT

Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for adjusting retransmission timing for a configured grant. One apparatus includes a processor that determines an offset value for a retransmission timer associated with a configured grant for communications between the UE and a mobile wireless communication network. The processor starts the retransmission timer adjusted by the offset value in response to transmission of data corresponding to a transport block (TB) on a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process. The processor detects expiration of the retransmission timer associated with the configured grant. In response to detecting expiration of the retransmission timer, the processor determines a transmission resource from a plurality of configured transmission resources for retransmitting a TB.

Hybrid automatic repeat request method and terminal device

Embodiments of the present invention provide a hybrid automatic repeat request method and a terminal device. The method includes: obtaining a first uplink grant (UL grant) sent by a base station, where the first uplink grant is carried in a media access control MAC message; transmitting uplink data based on the first uplink grant, and starting a first timer; starting a second timer after the first timer expires; and listening to a physical downlink control channel PDCCH based on the second timer. According to the hybrid automatic repeat request method and the terminal device in the embodiments of the present invention, electricity can be saved, and a retransmission delay can be reduced.

TERMINAL APPARATUS

A terminal apparatus includes a control information detection unit configured to detect first and second DCI, and a transmitter configured to perform UL data transmission based on the first DCI or cancel a resource allocated in the second DCI. A UL grant using the first DCI is detected, when performing UL data transmission based on the UL grant, after the data transmission, a first timer for a corresponding HARQ process is started and a second timer is stopped, and when the first timer expires, the second timer for a HARQ process is started. When cancellation of the UL data transmission using the second DCI is detected, at a timing for the data transmission canceled, the second timer is restarted in a case that the first timer expires and the second timer is running, and the second timer is started in a case that the second timer is not running.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REDUCING POWER CONSUMPTION IN NON-TERRESTRIAL NETWORK

An operation method of a terminal in a non-terrestrial network may comprise when a transmission operation of downlink data is started in an on-duration according to a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle, starting a first timer indicating a first time interval required for a retransmission operation of the downlink data; starting a second timer when the first timer expires; performing a downlink monitoring operation in a second time interval according to the second timer; and when control information for the retransmission operation is received from a non-terrestrial node in the second time interval, receiving the downlink data from the non-terrestrial node in a downlink resource indicated by the control information, wherein the first timer is configured in consideration of a transmission delay between the non-terrestrial node and the terminal.

Embodiments herein relate to a method performed by a first communication node operating in a wireless communications network. The first communication node adjusts a value of a Contention Window, CW, from a first value to a second value, the second value being a higher value than the first value, wherein adjusting the value is based on: one or more feedback timers having expired at a time of performing a sensing procedure in the absence of: a) a received uplink, UL, grant from a second communication node, or b) a downlink feedback from the second communication node for an Autonomous Uplink, AUL, transmission from the first communication node. Following adjusting the value, the first communication node initiates a sensing procedure performed prior to a transmission of an UL burst to the second communication node, wherein the sensing procedure uses the adjusted value of the CW.
