A method of interference cancellation is proposed. A UE obtains configuration information of a data transmission from a neighboring cell via an interference channel in a mobile communication network. The UE receives radio signals on a set of data resource elements as determined based on the obtained configuration information. The UE then estimates the interference channel corresponding to the data transmission from the neighboring cell based on the received radio signals on the set of data resource elements. Finally, the UE cancels the data transmission from the neighboring cell based on the estimated interference channel.

System acquisition mechanism for fixed devices in mobile broadband networks

Briefly, in accordance with one or more embodiments, a fixed device synchronizes with a downlink channel of a network, acquires a master information block including a last system update time; and executes cell selection without acquiring other system information if the last system update time is before the last system access time. Furthermore, the fixed device may listen only for system information block messages that it needs, and ignore other system information blocks. A bitmap may indicate which system information block messages should be listed to for fixed devices, and which may be ignored. In some embodiments, one or more system information blocks may be designated for fixed devices.

In a noise canceler, interference signals received by sub-antennas 12 are cross-correlated by a first correlation-value calculation unit and the peaks of the interference signals are detected by a first peak detector. Interference signal information is acquired by a first-interference-signal information acquisition unit and the interference signals are synthesized by an interference signal synthesizer. A signal received by a main antenna and the synthesized interference signal are correlated by a second correlation-value calculation unit and the peak of the synthesized interference signal is detected by a second peak detector. The interference signal information is acquired by a second interference-signal-information acquisition unit and an interference signal replica is generated by an interference signal replica generator. The interference signal replica is subtracted by an interference signal removal unit from the signal received by the main antenna.

Embodiments of the present invention disclose a co-channel interference cancellation method and apparatus. The method includes: obtaining effective interference by filtering co-channel interference according to a preset interference strength threshold, and obtaining a plurality of effective interference subgroups by grouping the effective interference; obtaining a reference interference sub-signal corresponding to the effective interference subgroup, by delaying a reference interference signal according to a determined interference delay of each effective interference subgroup; after each reference interference sub-signal passes through a corresponding adaptive interference reconstruction filter, obtaining a reconstructed interference signal by overlaying each reference interference sub-signal; and performing a subtraction operation on a received signal and the reconstructed interference signal. In this way, spectrum consumption is greatly reduced, and implementation is simple.
