One or more embodiments of this disclosure provide an apparatus and a method for generating a group profile. The apparatus receives, from a first external device, a request for generating a set of first information related to a group including a plurality of users using different electronic devices through the communication module. The apparatus receives, from the first external device or a second external device, a set of second information related to at least some of the plurality of users in response to the received request. The apparatus generates first data including the set of first information and second data for at least a part of at least one user interface corresponding to the set of first information based on at least some of the received set of second information. The apparatus transmits the first data or the second data to the first external device through the communication module.

A tool for contacts management and automated calling. The tool displays, by one or more computer processors, a contact page for adding a contact, wherein the contact page includes at least one conditional flow statement field. The tool program prompts, by one more computer processors, to configure the at least one conditional flow statement field. The tool saves, by one or more computer processors, the contact based on the at least one control flow statement field. The tool initiates, by one or more computer processors, an automated call to the contact based, on the at least one conditional flow statement field. The tool applies, by one or more computer processors, the at least one conditional flow statement field to the automated call to the contact.

A method operates an input apparatus for an electronic device in a motor vehicle. A sensing device senses a character trace from a user while the latter draws the character trace in order to input a character or a group of characters on an input surface of the sensing device. A first handwriting recognition device performs character recognition for the sensed character trace. A search device searches at least one database for at least one database entry in each case for a recognition result of the character recognition. To allow comprehensible device operation by handwriting recognition in a motor vehicle, the first handwriting recognition device ascertains a plurality of different recognition results for the character trace and the search device searches for at least one database entry in each case for each of the different recognition results.

The present disclosure relates to user interfaces for receiving user input. In some examples, a device determines which user input technique a user has accessed most recently, and displays the corresponding user interface. In some examples, a device scrolls through a set of information on the display. When a threshold criteria is satisfied, the device displays an index object fully or partially overlaying the set of information. In some examples, a device displays an emoji graphical object, which is visually manipulated based on user input. The emoji graphical object is transmitted to a recipient. In some examples, a device displays paging affordances that enlarge and allow a user to select a particular page of a user interface. In some examples, the device displays user interfaces for various input methods, including multiple emoji graphical objects. In some examples, a keyboard is displays for receiving user input.

A computerized system and related method for assisting a user with placing a telephonic call, comprising a user interface, computerized processing, and computerized storage for: a user specifying an originally-specified telephone number to place an intended telephonic call, which telephone number, as originally-specified, for at least one particular reason, cannot be used to successfully complete the intended telephonic call; the user, after specifying the originally-specified telephone number, later specifying later-specified telephone number elements, including the possible deleting or ignoring of part of the originally-specified telephone number; and causing the telephonic call to be successfully signaled using the originally-specified telephone number in combination with the later-specified telephone number elements, without the user having to re-specify the originally-specified telephone number.

A method and apparatus for storing a telephone number in a portable terminal. The method includes the steps of providing a user with a name input request message; determining whether or not the inputted name exists in a phone book list of the portable terminal; and generating a new entry including the inputted name and its associated telephone number and adding the new entry to the phone book list when the inputted name does not exist in the phone book list.

A contact record processing method includes: detecting whether a use time of a phone number stored in a contact record is greater than a use term of the phone number; and deleting the phone number from the contact record when the use time is greater than the use term.
