Systems and methods consistent with the invention relate to automated business and service dialing. According to one exemplary embodiment, a business dialing system is disclosed. The system includes a memory configured to store a plurality of business objects containing phone numbers corresponding to a plurality of business entities. The system further includes a user input device configured to detect key presses. The system also includes a processor coupled to the user input device and the memory. The processor is configured to generate a key sequence and a number sequence based on the detected key presses. The processor is further configured to search the memory for business objects corresponding to the key sequence. The system further includes a display device configured to display the number sequence and the business objects. The user input interface is further configured to detect a selection of a business object, among the business objects, or a dial command. The processor is configured to perform an action associated with the selected business object if the selection of the business object is detected, and dial the number sequence as a phone number if the dial command is detected.

The present invention provides a method and electronic device for searching for special contacts. The method for searching for special contacts comprises: receiving a search string input by a user; parsing the search string to obtain a feature code corresponding to a capability type of target contacts and a keyword used for searching to obtain the target contacts; and according to the feature code and the keyword, searching, in a contact database, for contacts having contact information matching the keyword and having the capability type corresponding to the feature code, and using the found contacts as the target contacts. By means of the technical solution of the present invention, exact search for target contacts having a specified capability type is realized, and information of all the target contacts having the specified capability type can be found, thereby meeting a user demand of searching for special contacts, improving the accuracy of contact search, and contributing to improvement of the operating experience of the user.

A system and method for wireless transactions provides a software development kit (SDK) that provides accessibility to inherent communication capabilities within a wireless communication device. The communication capabilities are normally not accessible to a software developer. However, the SDK provides an appropriate interface that permits a software developer to create application programs for a variety of transactions between the wireless communication device and a mobile network operator (MNO). In some transactions, the MNO may function as a financial service provider in which a user has an account with an associated monetary value. The SDK provides a simplified technique for executing a financial transaction, such as making a payment or transferring money by presenting easy-to-use menus that avoid the difficulty of memorizing transaction codes, user phone numbers, and the like.

A method and apparatus for selecting items from a collection of items are indexed by a list of item identifiers. The item identifiers may be in the form of text, symbols, graphics, etc. An initial display is generated which includes one or more parts of the item identifiers. Selection of the one or more parts may be made and results in the generation of a display of further one or more parts for selection. The further one or more parts may be selected in order to the selected one or more parts to build a larger part or whole of an item identifier. Accordingly, selection from a large list of item identifiers may be carried out in a relatively short time period.

A method and apparatus for selecting items from a collection of items are indexed by a list of item identifiers. A user equipment configured to receive a user input associated with a phone number is described herein. The phone number may be associated with a party the user is intending to call or message. The user equipment and an associated network may determine a personal identifier, such as an individual or entity name, associated with the phone number regardless of whether or not the phone number is included in a phone book or address book associated with the user. The user equipment may also present or display the personal identifier to the user prior to connecting the call or sending the message.

A smart dialing recommendation method, a non-transitory computer-readable medium, and a mobile device are disclosed. The smart dialing recommendation method includes: establishing a database according to a correspondence between a plurality of different time intervals in a past time range and a plurality of communication numbers by using a machine learning algorithm; obtaining a time stamp; and determining whether the time stamp has expired. When it is determined that the time stamp has not expired, according to the correspondence in the database and a current time point, a recommended number corresponding to the current time point is retrieved from the plurality of communication numbers. When it is determined that the time stamp has expired, the machine learning algorithm is performed again to update the plurality of communication numbers.

A smart dialing recommendation method, a non-transitory computer-readable medium, and a mobile device are disclosed. The smart dialing recommendation method includes: establishing a database according to a correspondence between a plurality of different time intervals in a past time range and a plurality of communication numbers by using a machine learning algorithm; obtaining a time stamp; and determining whether the time stamp has expired. When it is determined that the time stamp has not expired, according to the correspondence in the database and a current time point, a recommended number corresponding to the current time point is retrieved from the plurality of communication numbers. When it is determined that the time stamp has expired, the machine learning algorithm is performed again to update the plurality of communication numbers.

A method and apparatus for processing information of a terminal, is provided. The method includes parsing at least one message for at least one keyword and at least one phone number related to the at least one keyword; mapping the at least one keyword and the at least one phone number related to the at least one keyword and storing the at least one keyword and the at least one phone number related to the at least one keyword that have been mapped in a database; in response to a predetermined keyword being received as a search input, searching the database for the at least one phone number that has been mapped with the predetermined keyword; and displaying the at least one phone number related to the predetermined keyword that is found, on a display.
