Note taking at a device based on whether the user is a known user, unknown user, or owner
When a user approaches or accesses a device, the device attempts to recognize the user. A multi-user note management system takes different actions based on whether the user is recognized as the owner of the device, is recognized as a known user of the device, or is determined to be an unknown user of the device. If the user is recognized as the owner or a known user, the system receives user input and stores the user input as a note. If the user is an unknown user, the system does not allow the user to leave a note at the device, or receives user input and captures an image of the user, and stores the user input as a note associated with the captured image. When the owner of the device unlocks the device after a note has been left, the system displays or otherwise presents the notes.
Context-aware mobile device management
Technologies disclosed herein are directed to context-based mobile device management. According to one embodiment, an application executing in a mobile device detects an event to trigger context-based management of the mobile device. A usage context associated with the mobile device is determined. One or more policies to enforce on the mobile device are identified as a function of the usage context. The application enforces the one or more policies on the mobile device.

The method includes: obtaining a message of an application notification bar in response to that the application notification bar is triggered by an operating system of an electronic device; updating a message list based on the message; detecting a current state of the electronic device; and forbidding displaying the message list on a main interface of the electronic device in response to that the current state is a screen unlocked state, the message list being configured to be displayed in response to that the electronic device is in a screen locked state.

In aspects of shareable devices, a shareable device implements a device sharing module that can recognize a user intends to claim the shareable device for temporary use. For instance, the device sharing module can determine that multiple users are present within a distance threshold of the shareable device and identify one of the users as intending to claim the shareable device. The device sharing module can then authenticate the identified user to the shareable device, without requiring user input, to enable claiming of the shareable device. The shareable device can obtain personalized content associated with the identified user for use on the shareable device. The device sharing module can then establish an interactive session which enables the identified user to access the personalized content through applications and services available on the shareable device.
