A method for proactively creating a photo product includes storing a library of points of interest in a computer storage, detecting one or more images from a user, automatically extracting image capture locations from the images, automatically comparing the image capture locations with the points of interest in the library to obtain one or more identified points of interest, automatically identifying an occasion based on the identified points of interest in the library, automatically selecting, by the computer processor, a photo product type in part based on the occasion, automatically creating a design of a photo product of the photo product type using one or more images from the user, and manufacturing a physical photo product based on the photo product design.

A mobile terminal may obtain instruction information from a communication device in a situation where a first screen is displayed on a display of the mobile terminal, the instruction information indicating an instruction for causing the display to display a different screen from the first screen; obtain state information indicating a current state of the mobile terminal in a case where the instruction information is obtained; determine, by using the state information, whether the different screen is to be displayed in place of the first screen; and in a case where it is determined that the different screen is to be displayed, cause the display to display the different screen in place of the first screen.

The method comprises generating a pre-printing image of a print media, generating the printed document, generating a post-printing image of the printed document, generating a validation image by comparing the post-printing image with the pre-printing image, and comparing the validation image with the source image.

An image forming apparatus according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a memory and a hardware processor coupled to the memory. The hardware processor is configured to: cause a display device to display a setting screen for receiving individual setting values for a plurality of setting items; receive, from a user, individual setting values for a first item, a second item, and a third item in the setting items through the setting screen; specify a recommended setting value for the third item, based on the received setting values for the first item and the second item; and control, upon receiving the setting values for the first item and the second item from the user, display of information for receiving a setting value for the third item included in the setting screen based on the recommended setting value.

In one embodiment of the present disclosure, an apparatus that generates album data including a plurality of pages has a page generation unit configured to generate common pages used in common in a plurality of pieces of album data and individual pages corresponding to a main object and a determination unit configured to determine, after sorting the common pages relating to generation-target album data based on an image capturing time representing the common pages, positions of the individual pages relating to the generation-target album data.

Example embodiments include an image forming apparatus including circuitry to: acquire an input image to be processed by the image forming apparatus; set additional processing to be performed on the input image or a printed material of the input image; display, on a display, a first image based on the input image; accept an operation to edit the input image based on the first image; and display, on the display, a second image in which a result of the additional processing is reflected in the first image being edited.
