INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING SYSTEM, INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-EXECUTABLE MEDIUM
An information processing apparatus includes circuitry. The circuitry acquires a first state parameter indicative of a state of a printer engine of an image forming apparatus. The circuitry performs comparison between the first state parameter acquired and each of second state parameters registered in a memory in advance and indicative of states of the printer engine of the image forming apparatus at creation of a plurality of color profiles. The circuitry searches for a color profile corresponding to a second state parameter closest to the first state parameter from among the second state parameters.

The method includes (a) determining the timing to instruct the second printer to print a first measurement chart; (b) instructing, at the timing determined at step (a), the second printer to print the first measurement chart; (c) measuring, by the sensor, the first measurement chart which has been printed by the second printer; and (d) outputting information corresponding to a result measured at step (c).
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM STORING COLOR-CONVERSION CONTROL PROGRAM, AND COLOR-CONVERSION CONTROL METHOD
An image forming apparatus includes a printing unit, an in-line colorimeter and an in-line scanner. A hardware processor is configured to control the printing unit, the in-line colorimeter and the in-line scanner, to perform the following operations. The hardware processor uses the printing unit to print a first color chart to be measured with the in-line scanner and an external colorimeter, and a second color chart to be measured with the in-line scanner and the in-line colorimeter. A hardware processor creates a scanner profile based on RGB values and colorimetric values of patches of the second size in the second area in the first color chart, and uses RGB values and colorimetric values of patches of the first size in the first area in each of the first and second color charts, to calculates correction amounts for use in estimation of colorimetric values by using the scanner profile.
IMAGE READING APPARATUS, MULTIFUNCTION PERIPHERAL MACHINE, IMAGE READING SYSTEM, IMAGE READING METHOD, AND COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
An image reading apparatus, having a placement table, a reader to read an image recorded on the recordable medium placed on the placement table while moving in one direction, a memory storing information concerning a test pattern, and a controller, is provided. The controller is configured to, when instructed to read the test pattern, control the reader to stop reading to pause before reading the test pattern completely, while the reader pauses, based on read data generated from an outcome of reading of the test pattern so far and the information concerning the test pattern, determine whether the read data satisfies a predetermined condition, and when the read data satisfies the predetermined condition, control the reader to resume reading the test pattern, but when the read data does not satisfy the predetermined condition, control the reader to abort reading the test pattern and output an error alerting signal.
Printer color calibrating method to suppress color variation between devices
A printer color calibration method includes obtaining first chart printing material by performing the chart printing with a first printer, setting first color data by obtaining the color data measuring the first chart printing material with a second printer, obtaining second chart printing material by performing the chart printing with the second printer, setting second color data by obtaining the color data measuring the second chart printing material with the second printer, and obtaining correction data that is used by the second printer in order for printing output of the second printer to substantially match with printing output of the first printer based on the first color data and the second color data.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND RECORDING MEDIUM
An image forming apparatus includes an image former configured to form a first image on a first recording medium; a feeder configured to feed the first recording medium to the image former; a reader configured to read the first image formed on the first recording medium; a process executor configured to execute a predetermined process based on a first read image that is obtained by the reader by reading the first image; and a corrector configured to correct the reader based on a second read image that is obtained by the reader by reading a second image formed on a second recording medium fed by the feeder, and a predetermined read reference image.
Image reading device and image forming apparatus for correcting a read image
An image reading device and an image forming apparatus. The image reading device includes an image reader to read an image of a document, and a color reference component arranged to face the image reader. In the image reading device, the image reader reads the color reference component at a prescribed timing to obtain color reference image data, and correction data generating processes are executed based on the obtained color reference image data to generate correction data used to correct data of the image read by the image reader. In the image reading device, wherein the color reference component is moved relative to the image reader in a direction orthogonal to a direction toward and away from the image reader. The image forming apparatus includes the image reading device, and an image is formed on a recording material based on data of the image read by the image reading device.
Capturing image data of printer output
An apparatus and method for use in capturing image data of an output of a printing device during a print run, the method comprising capturing a first portion of image data of a first spread, capturing a second portion of image data of a second spread, wherein the location of the second portion of image data on the second spread is different from the location of the first portion of image data on the first spread, and combining the first portion with the second portion to generate oversampled image data.
