Determining method of density correction value, printing apparatus, printing method, and method of correcting printing density
A density correction value determining method of correcting a printing density in a printing apparatus that performs printing by ejecting ink from a plurality of nozzles onto a medium, includes printing a test pattern by ejecting ink from the plurality of nozzles, acquiring captured image data by imaging printed test pattern, calculating a first density correction value for bringing the printing density closer to a predetermined reference value set when one raster is formed by ejecting ink from each single nozzle of the plurality of nozzles based on a density of acquired captured image data, and calculating a second density correction value for bringing the printing density closer to a predetermined reference value set when one raster is formed by combining different nozzles of the plurality of nozzles based on the calculated first density correction value.
Image processing apparatus, calibration method, and computer program
An image processing apparatus includes a calibration section acquiring luminance characteristics of a display apparatus on a basis of a user manipulation for a calibration screen image displayed on the display apparatus, a luminance transforming section transforming a range of luminance composing a pixel value of an image into a range of luminance with which the image can be outputted as a display image on a basis of the luminance characteristics, and an output section outputting data associated with an image having the luminance after the transformation as a pixel value. The calibration section adjusts an initial state of the calibration screen image on a basis of information peculiar to the display apparatus, and then causes the calibration screen image to be displayed on the display apparatus.
Color separation processing method, printing method, and color separation processing apparatus
A color separation processing method includes: preparing one or a plurality of tables including a first color and one or a plurality of second colors obtained by mixing the first color with one or a plurality of added colors; selecting the table including the first color in accordance with a color sample and selecting the second color corresponding to the color sample from the selected table; and obtaining color separation values of the first color and the added color constituting the selected second color.
PRINTING SYSTEM
A first provider for providing a printer, a second provider for providing a print medium, a client which performs printing on the print medium using the printer, and a management section for processing and storing information are coupled to each other via a network. The first provider provides the second provider with a provider printer and a profile preparation tool. The second provider executes a process of preparing a profile corresponding to a combination of the provider printer and the print medium using the same, and transmitting printing setup information including the profile to the management section with respect to one or more print media. The client receives the printing setup information corresponding to the combination of the client printer used in printing and the print medium used in printing from the management section, performs setup based on the printing setup information on software for controlling the client printer and performs printing.
CONFIGURING PRINTER OPERATION USING COLORANT INFORMATION ON COLORANT UNITS
A printer apparatus comprises one or more ports (201.sub.1 to 201.sub.M) for receiving one or more colorant units (INK.sub.1 to INK.sub.N), and a processing unit. The processing unit is adapted to determine which one or more colorant units (INK.sub.1 to INK.sub.N) have been loaded into the printer apparatus. The processing unit is adapted to retrieve colorant information from each loaded colorant unit (INK.sub.1 to INK.sub.N), and determine an ink-set configuration using the colorant information retrieved from each loaded colorant unit (INK.sub.1 to INK.sub.N). Operation of the printer apparatus is configured according to the determined colorant-set configuration.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, COLOR CONVERSION METHOD, AND COLOR CONVERSION PROGRAM
Provided is an image processing apparatus that compares a color sample image and a document image, and performs color adjustment at a time of output of the document image, the image processing apparatus includes: storage that stores a color sample image and a document image; and a control part that compares the color sample image and the document image, and performs color adjustment, wherein the control part extracts a continuous region having a predetermined level or more of uniformity for a predetermined item, on the color sample image and the document image, compares accompanying information of each of images in the region, and selects a region of the color sample image corresponding to the region of the document image on the basis of a result of the comparison.
Configuring printer operation using colorant information on colorant units

The processing unit is adapted to determine which one or more colorant units (INK.sub.1 to INK.sub.N) have been loaded into the printer apparatus. The processing unit is adapted to retrieve colorant information from each loaded colorant unit (INK.sub.1 to INK.sub.N), and determine an ink-set configuration using the colorant information retrieved from each loaded colorant unit (INK.sub.1 to INK.sub.N). Operation of the printer apparatus is configured according to the determined colorant-set configuration.
COLOR MANAGEMENT RESOURCE
A first number of color patches are printed with a target printing system to obtain a sparse color gamut characterization. A second number of color patches are printed with a reference printing system to obtain a reference color gamut characterization. The second number is greater than the first number. A dense color gamut characterization is generated with a transformation of the reference color gamut characterization to the sparse color gamut characterization. A color management resource can be generated for the target printing system from the dense color gamut characterization.
System and method for endoscope calibration
A system and method for calibrating an endoscope having the camera and the light source close to each other in an enclosed environment. The system includes a colour chart plate, being specularly reflecting, having radially extending colour patches, and a circular central achromatic bright field that can handle the automatic gain control of the camera. The colour chart can be mounted into a container unit having mechanically connected holders to support the endoscope arm.
Component comprising a memory device including corrective data
In some examples, a component for a printing device includes a memory device comprising a plurality of corrective data to produce a corresponding plurality of color tables each customized for a respective media type of a plurality of media types, wherein a respective corrective data of the plurality of corrective data corresponds to nodes of a reference color table for the printing device that is able to accept the plurality of media types for printing. The respective corrective data includes a plurality of residual values to transform the nodes of the reference color table to a customized color table for use with a selected media type of the plurality of media types.
