DIGITAL PHOTO TREND DETECTION FOR DIGITAL PICTURE FRAMES
20240037136 · 2024-02-01 · ·

A method for automated routing of pictures taken on mobile electronic devices to a digital picture frame including a camera integrated with the frame, and a network connection module allowing the frame for direct contact and upload of photos from electronic devices or from photo collections of community members. Clustering photos by content is used to improve display and to respond to photo viewer desires. Trends or patterns can be detected from the photo collections and that information used for various purposes beyond photo display.

DIGITAL PICTURE FRAME PHOTOGRAPH CLUSTERING

A method for automated routing of pictures taken on mobile electronic devices to a digital picture frame including a camera integrated with the frame, and a network connection module allowing the frame for direct contact and upload of photos from electronic devices or from photo collections of community members. The integrated camera is used to automatically determine an identity of a frame viewer and can capture gesture-based feedback. The displayed photos are automatically shown and/or changed according to the detected viewers. The photos can be filtered and cropped at the receiver side. Clustering photos by content is used to improve display and to respond to photo viewer desires.

GIFTED DIGITAL PICTURE FRAME NETWORK SETUP

A picture frame and methods of setup, gifting, and/or use. Network connection allows digital frames to be set up remotely by a first user for a second user. The first user can upload photos from electronic devices or from photo collections of community members before the second user receives the frame device. The frame is thus ready for display upon powering on by the second user. An integrated camera is used to automatically determine an identity of a frame viewer and can capture gesture-based feedback. The displayed photos are automatically shown and/or changed according to the detected viewers. The photos can be filtered and cropped at the receiver side. Clustering photos by content is used to improve display and to respond to photo viewer desires.

SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCTS FOR AUTOMATED REAL-TIME EXECUTION OF LIVE INSERTS OF REPURPOSED STORED CONTENT DISTRIBUTION

A production system having a first production path, a second production path, and a control system that causes the first production path to generate a show in a first aspect ratio and the second production path to generate the same show in a second aspect ratio. Moreover, the product system can product a show from live material and from archived material. This aspect operates by producing a first show including multiple stories, segmenting the first show, and storing the show segments in an archive. Then, the system produces a second show using live portions as well as show segments retrieved from the archive. The product system can include a media manager that interacts with a server that may be integrated with the production system. The media manager automatically assigns channels/ports of the server when accessing material stored in the server.

CLIENT SIDE DATA STREAM PROCESSING

Methods and devices for encoding and decoding data streams are disclosed. In some aspects, the data streams are multimedia data streams. One method disclosed includes obtaining, by a client device, a first multimedia data stream and a second multimedia data stream, the second multimedia data stream being a lower fidelity version of the first multimedia data stream, generating, by the client device, a third multimedia data stream based on differences between the first and second multimedia data streams, compressing, by the client device, the second multimedia data stream to generate a first compressed multimedia data stream, compressing, by the client device, the third multimedia data stream to generate a second compressed multimedia data stream; and transmitting, by the client device, the first and second compressed multimedia data steams to the server.

CONVERSION BETWEEN ASPECT RATIOS IN CAMERA

A camera system captures an image in a source aspect ratio and applies a transformation to the input image to scale and warp the input image to generate an output image having a target aspect ratio different than the source aspect ratio. The output image has the same field of view as the input image, maintains image resolution, and limits distortion to levels that do not substantially affect the viewing experience. In one embodiment, the output image is non-linearly warped relative to the input image such that a distortion in the output image relative to the input image is greater in a corner region of the output image than a center region of the output image.

Wireless device displaying images and matching resolution or aspect ratio for screen sharing during Wi-Fi direct service

A wireless device supporting Wi-Fi Direct service includes: a display; a communication unit; and a controller configured to cause: transmitting resolution information including a plurality of resolutions that are supported by the wireless device to a second wireless device; receiving an entire image including a first image and a second image from the second wireless device if a resolution of the first image is not one of the plurality of resolutions; displaying the first image by removing the second image from the received entire image when the entire image is received; and receiving the first image from the second wireless device without the second image if the resolution of the first image is included in the resolution information, the second image being an image that is added to the first image such that a resolution of the received entire image corresponds to one of the plurality of resolutions.

Delivery of Media Content to a User Device at a Particular Quality Based on a Personal Quality Profile

A method includes receiving, at a server from a user device, a request for media content. The request identifies a first personal quality profile. The method includes identifying, at the server, a version of the media content to send to the user device based on first media quality preferences indicated by the first personal quality profile. The method includes, in response to a determination of unavailability of the version from a content source: retrieving, at the server from the content source, a particular version of the media content; and modifying, at the server, a visual attribute of the particular version to generate the version. The method further includes sending the version from the server to the user device.

Systems, methods, and computer program products for multiple aspect ratio automated simulcast production

The disclosed computer-implemented method may include detecting, by a computing device, a command to clip a video segment from a video stream. The method may also include extracting, by the computing device, the video segment from the video stream based on the command. Additionally, the method may include automatically identifying, by the computing device, one or more points of interest in the video segment. Furthermore, the method may include determining, by the computing device, one or more sets of coordinates to crop the video segment based on a predetermined aspect ratio and the one or more points of interest. Finally, the method may include creating, by the computing device, a short-form video by cropping and reformatting the video segment based on the one or more sets of coordinates. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.
