Program for adjusting channel interference between access points in a wireless network

The performance and ease of management of wireless communications environments is improved by a mechanism that enables access points (APs) to perform automatic channel selection. A wireless network can therefore include multiple APs, each of which will automatically choose a channel such that channel usage is optimized. Furthermore, APs can perform automatic power adjustment so that multiple APs can operate on the same channel while minimizing interference with each other. Wireless stations are load balanced across APs so that user bandwidth is optimized. A movement detection scheme provides seamless roaming of stations between APs.

A communication apparatus includes a bandwidth calculation part that calculates a bandwidth for each application, a change rate calculation part that calculates a bandwidth change rate for each application based on the bandwidth for each application presently calculated and the bandwidth for each application previously calculated, and a policy selection part that selects a policy to be applied to communication traffic between a server and a terminal based on the calculated bandwidth change rate for each application.

Communication system management and performance reporting

A gateway communication resource provides access to a remote network over a communication link. For example, a communication management resource (such as in a subscriber domain) receives log information associated with the gateway communication resource. The log information indicates an operational status of the gateway communication resource. The communication management resource also receives performance threshold information in which to analyze performance of the communication resource. Via application of the performance threshold information to the log information, the communication management resource generates a performance report indicative of a performance status of the gateway communication resource communicating over the communication link.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING PHYSICAL DATA RATE

Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method of controlling physical data rate for optimizing throughput of multicast transport channels in at least one multicast channel, wherein the allocation of the at least one multicast transport channel to the at least one multicast channel is controlled such that inter alia at least one of all multicast transport channels to be allocated currently is placed within one multicast channel during the common sub-frame allocation period according to a pre-defined ruling when all multicast transport channels to be allocated currently do not fit into the one multicast channel, wherein a remainder of all multicast transport channels to be allocated currently is buffered and scheduled to be transmitted in a following common sub-frame allocation period. Further, a system for controlling physical data rate for optimizing throughput of multicast transport channels is described.

A system can include a network analysis platform for a two-level grid-based anomaly area identification and solution nomination in a radio access network. The network analysis platform can map key performance indicators for user sessions in the network to a grid that overlays a geographic area. The grid can be based on a military grid reference system. A machine-learning model can take a vector of key performance indicator samples as input and identify a problem for the grid. The network analysis platform can nominate cells to attempt to remediate based on ranking poor performing bins in the grid and determining the cells that contribute most to the problem in each bin. For a nominated cell, the network analysis platform can perform remediation actions to solve a coverage problem, throughput problem, or both. The problem can be solved for the grid while preventing conflicts between individual cells.

Method and apparatus for traffic management in a self-backhauled network by using capacity requests

The present invention describes a radio base station and a method for integrated access and backhaul by using backhaul capacity requests. The radio base station is configured to allocate a first part of its capacity to access traffic and a second part of its capacity to backhaul traffic. It is further configured to form a self-backhauled network with a plurality of other radio base stations and select a backhaul route through the self-backhauled network for uplink and downlink backhaul traffic.

Wireless access point load balancing

Managing wireless access points and/or other devices providing wireless signaling to multiple clients is contemplated. The wireless access point may be managed according to a load balancing strategy directed towards achieving desired network throughput using forced disassociation of clients based on traffic type or other service related indicators and/or force disassociation of roaming partners based on neighboring access point capabilities.

Capacity planning method and apparatus

The present disclosure relates to capacity planning methods and apparatus. One example method includes matching a distribution model based on a quantity of service packets in each transmission time interval within specified duration to obtain a matched first distribution model, matching a distribution model based on a length of the service packets to obtain a second distribution model, and performing bandwidth control based on the first distribution model, the second distribution model, a distribution parameter of the first distribution model, and a distribution parameter of the second distribution model.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING BANDWIDTH CONGESTION CONTROL IN A PRIVATE FABRIC IN A HIGH PERFORMANCE COMPUTING ENVIRONMENT

Systems and methods for providing bandwidth congestion control in a private fabric in a high performance computing environment. An exemplary method can provide, at one or more microprocessors, a first subnet, the first subnet comprising a plurality of switches, and a plurality of host channel adapters, wherein each of the host channel adapters comprise at least one host channel adapter port, and wherein the plurality of host channel adapters are interconnected via the plurality of switches, and a plurality of end nodes. The method can provide, at a host channel adapter, an end node ingress bandwidth quota associated with an end node attached to the host channel adapter. The method can receive, at the end node of the host channel adapter, ingress bandwidth, the ingress bandwidth exceeding the ingress bandwidth quota of the end node.

TRAFFIC LOAD MANAGEMENT

A reinforcement learning (RL) process is used to allocate UL/DL resources and is also used to offload traffic from a first access point (e.g., macro access point) to a second access point (e.g., a micro access point) when the load on the first access point is too high. The RL process is able to handle the dynamic nature of UL/ DL imbalances and is therefore able to maximize usage of resources without compromising quality of service.
