The first stage includes spring loaded cutter stacks mounted on two adjacent shafts between two edge plates, each of the cutter stacks including cutters arranged in a helix to create space, each cutter including a number of teeth per blade and including a major diameter and a minor diameter, each cutter turning opposite a fixed counter knife enabling a pinching action against the teeth of the cutter. The second stage includes spring loaded cutter stacks.
Clinical waste container comprising wood fibres arranged with first and second snap-locking means and method for producing the same
Clinical waste container (100) comprising a lower basket part (110) and an upper lid part (120), comprising a cylindrical part (121) having an upper lid opening (122); and a lid cap part (130), arranged to be fastened to said lid part so as to cover said lid opening, wherein the lid part and the lid cap part each comprise cooperating snap-lock means (123, 133), comprising several separated elongated protrusions (133a,133b), together defining a broken circle.
The lid part comprises at a lower end (124) a bend (125) of at least 60, with an inner radius (R1) of at the most 5 mm and an outer radius (R2) of at the most 5 mm, defining a local material thickness increase of at least 25%.
The lid part and the lid cap part comprise at least 30% by volume wooden fibres.
The invention also relates to a method of manufacturing such a container.
Sharps container
The disclosure relates to a multifunctional sharps container having a first dispensing compartment for storing unused sharps and a second compartment for receiving used sharps. The first and second compartments are separated by a generally liquid impermeable partition fixed to the walls of the container. In addition, the first and second compartments are provided with apertures and structures for conveying the sharps, out of and into the compartments respectively, which are functional in at least two orientations of the container.
Chemical gel to dissolve metal and hazardous medical sharps
This dissolvent is an inorganic compound of silica gel that is stabile and lasts for decades. Pleasant gold color, no evident odor or vapor, and it will not spill, or degrade over the decades, while awaiting use. After full and complete use with several syringes needles being dissolved at one location, these sharps will blacken and corrode and dissolve away, and the gel then becomes ordinary harmless waste to be conveniently discarded. This dissolvent gel will blunt sharp points and edges of sharps instantly to become totally useless. The useless sharps and needles will carry no infection, no living organism, no viruses, no pathogens, no bacterium, just nothing, just scrap! Nothing sharp or dangerous or infectious is left to be in the trash, or in the landfill, or in the oceanit's just harmless scrap.
