GROUNDING CUFF SYSTEM
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a grounding cuff having a flexible body and an inflatable bladder disposed within the flexible body. The inflatable body is configurable to an inflated state and a deflated state. In the inflated stated, the inflatable bladder applies pressure to the grounding cuff to provide and maintain improved contact between the ground cuff and skin of a patient. Additionally, the inflatable bladder includes an inlet configured to receive a fluid from a hose, the inflatable bladder configured to the inflated state based on the fluid received via the hose. The grounding cuff may include a grounding pad coupled to a ground terminal to extract energy from the patient during a medical therapy, such as ablation therapy. The inflatable bladder may be configured to the inflated state to promote strong contact between the grounding pad and skin of the patient.

System and method for through window personal cloud transmission
A radio frequency (RF) front end device has a signal traveling from a first antenna to a second antenna in an uplink path and a signal traveling from a third antenna to a fourth antenna in a downlink path. The device is under the control of automatic on/off controller (AOOC) which upon receiving a signal indication from a receive signal detector and amplifier (RSDA) turns on the operations of power amplifier (PA) and simultaneously turns off a low noise amplifier (LNA). This LNA is turned off when the power amplifier is turned on to prevent uplink path and downlink path forming a feedback loop which would result in oscillation, noise and interference.
Sensing System and Method for Smart Rings Employing Sensor Spatial Diversity
A ring for photoplethysmographic sensing performs transmissive PPG and/or reflective PPG. It can enable lower power consumption, higher fidelity, and/or greater versatility to different use cases and users' specificities. The PPG system takes advantage of sensor spatial diversity to enhance the quality and the reliability of the PPG measurements in smart rings, for example. It can also perform user identification.
PORTABLE SPIROMETER
The invention relates to a spirometer (1) comprising a MEMS-based thermal fluid flow sensor (13, 13.1, 13.2) for generating a signal in response to a fluid flow generated during inhalation or exhalation; and a microcontroller (14) for calculating the fluid flow from the signal generated by the flow sensor (13, 13.1, 13.2). The spirometer (1) may be connected to other devices, such as a smartphone or a personal computer or any other computing unit which is adapted to collect, store, analyse, exchange and/or display data. The invention further describes the use of the spirometer (1) in measuring a user's lung performance and/or monitoring it over time. Furthermore, the spirometer (1) may be provided in a system together with an air quality measurement device for determining the air quality at a location of interest; and a computing unit for collecting, analysing and correlating the user's lung performance data obtained from the spirometer (1) with the air quality data, and optionally geolocalisation data of said location.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING PERSONALIZED BIOMETRIC INFORMATION BASED ON BIOMETRIC SIGNAL USING SAME
An electronic device for providing biometric information is provided. The electronic device includes a sensor module, a memory, and a processor electrically connected to the sensor module and the memory. The processor obtains a biometric signal from the sensor module at a predetermined time interval, determines whether a user is in a first state on the basis of the obtained biometric signal, in case the user is in a first state, obtains a representative value for a respective of the at least one biometric signal, defines the obtained representative value for the respective of the at least one biometric signal as a candidate reference value for a corresponding biometric signal, determines a candidate reference value satisfying a predetermined condition as a first reference value for the corresponding biometric signal, and updates a second reference value previously configured for the corresponding biometric signal on the basis of the first reference value.
TECHNIQUES FOR DETERMINING RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN SKIN TEMPERATURE AND SURROUNDING TEMPERATURE
Methods, systems, and devices for temperature analysis are described. The method may include receiving physiological data associated with a user collected via a first set of sensors of a wearable device. The physiological data may include skin temperature data. The method may include receiving surrounding temperature data associated with an environment surrounding the user. The surrounding temperature data may be collected via the first set of sensors, a second set of sensors, or both. The method may additionally include identifying one or more physiological characteristics associated with the user based at least in part on a comparison of the skin temperature data and the surrounding temperature data, and causing a graphical user interface (GUI) of a user device to display an indication of the one or more physiological characteristics, a message or alert associated with the one or more physiological characteristics, or both.
Dry electrode and physiological multi-parameter monitoring equipment
A dry electrode and a physiological multi-parameter monitoring equipment are disclosed. The waterproof dry electrode comprises an encapsulation, extraction electrode and a contact surface layer, wherein the extraction electrode and the contact surface layer are connected with each other and disposed in the encapsulation; the contact surface layer comprises an exposed part and an embedded part encapsulation; the encapsulation comprises flexible silica gel and hard plastic portion, the embedded part being embedded into the hard plastic portion, and the hard plastic portion being packaged in the flexible silica gel. Through the above arrangement in the present invention, the dry electrode can reach a waterproof grade of IPX7, which is higher than living waterproof grade of an ordinary dry electrode. The PMPME can be a patch-type acquisition and monitoring equipment which is convenient for long time wearing and physiological multi-parameter monitoring, with excellent sealing and waterproofness, and the electrode is reusable.
