12383379 · 2025-08-12 ·

An orthodontic device is provided, including an anchorage structure, a palatal expansion structure, and at least one protrusion. The anchorage structure includes left and right posterior teeth caps configured to be removably worn on the posterior teeth of the maxillary dental arch; a palatal bar connecting the left and right posterior teeth caps; and an expanded arch extending from the left posterior teeth cap to the right posterior teeth cap. The palatal expansion structure includes: left and right anterior teeth parts configured to be removably worn on the anterior teeth of the maxillary dental arch; and expansion screws connecting the left anterior teeth part and the right anterior teeth part to each other and to the palatal bar. The at least one protrusion is formed on then occlusal side of the expanded arch and configured to contact the patient's mandibular dental arch when the orthodontic device is worn.

An orthodontic aligner includes an aligner body configured for receiving upper teeth or lower teeth. The aligner body has a facial surface, a lingual surface, a gingival edge, and an incisal edge. A hook is integrally formed on either the facial surface or the lingual surface of the aligner body. The hook is configured so that an elastic band can be removably attached thereto. The hook is positioned between the gingival edge and the incisal edge of the aligner body. The hook protrudes at an angle relative to the surface of the aligner body. The angle may be between 20 and 60 degrees. The aligner body and the hook are formed simultaneously during manufacturing.

Method and system for production of anti-microbial orthodontic elastomeric ligatures

A method for production of anti-microbial orthodontic elastomeric ligatures is disclosed. The elastomeric ligatures are coated with an anti-microbial solution layer by layer. The coating solution comprising an anti-bacterial agent, a polymer and a solvent in the following ratio: 2 g anti-microbial agent, 4 g polymer and 200 mL solvent. The hypo-allergic latex-free orthodontic elastomeric ligatures with an internal diameter of 0.045 inches and external diameter of 0.115 inches are rinsed in distilled water, dried at 60 C. and sprayed with the anti-bacterial solution two times and dried for five minute. This process is repeated for five times and the elastomeric ligatures are dried at room temperature for 1 h.

Provided herein is a method for coating an orthodontic elastomeric ligature tie with fluoride in which a solution of a coating medium, for example, polycaprolactone, containing calcium fluoride is coated and dried on the O-ring. Also provided are the coated orthodontic elastomeric ligature ties as prepared by the method and oral devices to re-mineralize decalcified tooth enamel lesions. Methods for treating demineralization in tooth enamel with the coated orthodontic elastomeric ligature ties, for re-mineralizing decalcified tooth enamel lesion in subjects with orthodontia and for optimizing time-release of fluoride from the coated orthodontic elastomeric ligature tie are provided. A kit to prepare the coated orthodontic elastomeric ligature tie is provided.

INVISIBLE DENTAL BRACE WITH PRESSURE-SENSITIVE SENSORS
20260060784 · 2026-03-05 · ·

The invention relates to an invisible dental brace with pressure-sensitive sensors, including: a brace body, at least one pressure-sensitive sensor, a processor, and a brace health monitoring module. The brace body is designed to be attached to at least one corresponding tooth of an orthodontic patient and reposition the at least one corresponding tooth from an initial position towards a target position according to a prescribed orthodontic treatment plan. The at least one pressure-sensitive sensor is configured to generate a sensor signal related to the wearing time of the brace body and a force or pressure applied to the at least one corresponding tooth by the brace body. The sensor signal is then transmitted to a cloud database for further analysis or to the processor for processing to generate a performance of the brace body. Finally, the performance is transmitted to a cloud database for an orthodontic practitioner to modify the prescribed orthodontic treatment plan.

Orthodontic appliance for correcting misalignment of teeth

An orthodontic device for treating misalignment of teeth, the device including an anchor having an attachment base and a stem extending upwardly from the attachment base, where the attachment base is configured for mounting the anchor to a patient's tooth. The device further includes an arm with an elongate body having an attachment portion disposed along one end thereof and a bonding portion disposed along an opposite end thereof. The attachment portion includes a notch formed along an end face thereof and a seat in communication with the notch. The arm is removably mountable to the stem via the notch and the seat, the arm being rotatable about a rotational axis relative to the stem to a locked position where the arm is bonded in place to another tooth via the bonding portion for treatment.
