Attachment apparatuses and associated methods of use and manufacture
A system for carrying or using a device includes the device and at least one attachment apparatus. The device may include at least one attachment element. The attachment apparatus may include a length of material and at least one attachment point arranged on an end of the length of material. The at least one attachment point may include at least one magnetic feature configured to attach and detach the device and the length of material. The material can include but is not limited to cloth, metallic (magnetic and non-magnetic), fibrous material, and so forth.
Snap button
A snap button has a female portion formed from a cap and a socket that are connected together with a piece of fabric in between. The cap is formed from a base body having a circumferential flange with interruptions therein so that the flange can be bent outward during assembly. The socket is formed by a disc having a central aperture and a peripheral rim, as well as an annular insert disposed within the socket. The cap is connected to the socket by pressing the socket onto the cap until the flange bends around the annular insert to anchor the cap to the socket with the fabric trapped between. A male portion having a stud is connected to the female portion by snapping the stud into the socket such that the stud extends entirely through the socket and into the cap.
SEW-ON MAGNETIC FASTENERS
A magnetic snap fastener for releasably coupling a first material to a second material. The fastener includes a first fastening assembly affixable to the first material, the first fastening assembly including a first ferromagnetic eyelet having an integrally formed flange and protrusion magnetically coupled to a first toroidal-shaped magnet, the first fastening assembly disposed in a first water-resistant enclosure, and a second fastening assembly affixable to the second material, the second fastening assembly including a second ferromagnetic eyelet having an integrally formed flange and protrusion magnetically coupled to a second toroidal-shaped magnet having an oppositely poled orientation relative to the first magnet, the second fastening assembly disposed in a second water-resistant enclosure. The first and second fastening assemblies providing magnetic coupling to releasably couple the first and second materials.
Component-securing device
In a component-securing device, in a state in which a base member is secured to a component by the engagement of an engagement portion of a clip to a to-be-engaged portion of a joining pin, pushing a pair of pressing portions in an outer peripheral portion of the clip in a direction (see arrow A) of approaching each other makes the outer peripheral portion deform and a pair of joining pin insertion portions move in a direction of moving away from each other, and engagement between the engagement portion of the clip and the to-be-engaged portion of the joining pin is released, thereby enabling the clip to be polled out from the joining pin. Merely deforming the outer peripheral portion of the clip inward enables the engagement with the joining pin to be released.
LOCKING BUTTON SYSTEM
Disclosed herein is a locking button system and methods for use thereof, wherein the system includes a first component having a flange portion and a first locking pin provided on an upper surface of the flange portion. The system also includes a second component having an annular retention ring defining an interior cavity, the annular retention ring having an interior groove provided on the interior surface, the interior cavity having a diameter corresponding to an outer circumference of the flange portion of the first component, an axially telescoping cap, and a second locking pin provided on an interior surface of the axially telescoping cap.
Clasp
A clasp for attaching a component to a bag having a strap. The clasp includes a protrusion portion having a protrusion and a receiving portion having a first arm and a second arm. The first and second arms define a receiving cavity configured to receive the protrusion of the protrusion portion. In one embodiment, the receiving portion further includes a body to which the first arm and second arm are connected by a plurality of flexible connectors. In another embodiment, the first arm is connected to the second arm by a clip. The arms of the receiving portion may each comprise a flexible extension which resists opening of the cavity. Alternatively or in addition, the receiving portion may further have a spring assembly which resists opening of the cavity. The receiving portion may further include one or more C-shaped strap retainers for attaching to the strap of the bag.
Stationery securing apparatus and instrument holder
A stationery securing apparatus and writing instrument holder is provided with a band, at least a portion of which is elastic. At least two writing instrument loops are attached to the elastic band, and a male snap portion and a female snap portion attached to the band, configured and arranged so that when the band is not in use securing stationery, it can be folded or rolled up and the male snap portion and the female snap portion can be snapped together to form a compact writing instrument holder.
Locking button system
Contemplated herein is a locking button system which includes a male component having a flange portion and a male locking pin provided on an upper surface of the flange portion. The system also includes a female component having an annular retention ring defining an interior cavity, the annular retention ring having an interior groove provided on the interior surface, the interior cavity having a diameter corresponding to an outer circumference of the flange portion of the male component, an axially telescoping cap, and a second locking pin provided on an interior surface of the axially telescoping cap.
Upper Structure of Female Snap Button, Female Snap Button and Method of Attaching Female Snap Button to Texture
An upper structure of a female snap button includes a post holding member for holding a post of a male snap button, and a receiving member for receiving the post holding member. The receiving member includes a surrounding wall that extends in an up and down direction to surround the post holding member, a bottom portion that is coupled to a lower end of the surrounding wall and provided inward of the surrounding wall, and a peripheral portion that is coupled to an upper end of the surrounding wall and provided outward of the surrounding wall. An opening is defined by a rim between the upper end of the surrounding wall and the peripheral portion.
Quick release slide clip mechanism
A quick release apparatus for rapid disconnection of a waist belt from a self-contained breathing apparatus support frame, including frame connectors disposed on a lumbar support pad. The frame connectors and inserted through horizontal slots on the SBCA support frame and present an aperture for insertion of slide clips that tether the SCBA support frame to the lumbar support pad. The support pad, in turn, may be removably attached to a trucker's belt or integrated therein. In an emergency, the slide clips may be rapidly removed with a simple pull to effect a full and compete release of the SCBA support frame from the waist belt while leaving the waist belt and its accoutrements on the user.
