SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING A DATA NETWORK
A multi-port Ethernet fiber switch converts the TDD to OD and then provides the OD to multi-port Ethernet fiber switch ports for transmission on optical lines connected to the multi-port Ethernet fiber switch ports. The OD on the multiple optical lines is then transmitted to multiple integrated converter/receiver in-wall mounted data access stations through the multiple optical lines. Each integrated converter/receiver in-wall mounted data access station includes an integrated OD to TDD converter/receiver that is positioned in a cavity in the wall in which the integrated converter/receiver in-wall mounted data access station resides. Each integrated converter/receiver in-wall mounted data access station includes one or more data ports, such as standard RJ-45 ports.
Star topology fixed wireless access network with lower frequency failover
A fixed wireless access network provides for high-frequency data links between aggregation nodes and endpoint nodes. The system further provides for lower frequency wireless data links, which have carrier frequencies less than high-frequency wireless data links. These lower frequency links provide for auxiliary communications between the aggregation nodes and one or more endpoint nodes. During normal operation, the nodes exchange packet data via the high-frequency data links. However, when impairment of the high-frequency data links is detected, the nodes direct the packet data over the low-frequency data links instead until the high-frequency data links are no longer impaired.
Optical line terminal and bandwidth allocation method
An optical line terminal is provided with: an absorption unit that acquires first information of a type and a format that are dependent on a communication scheme and that converts the acquired first information into second information of a type and a format that are common to mutually different communication schemes; and a bandwidth allocation unit that determines bandwidth allocation of an upstream signal allocated to an optical network unit on the basis of the second information.
Modificationless packet prioritization for frame generation
Modification less packet prioritization for frame generation is disclosed. An aggregation device receives, via a digital communication interface, a plurality of encapsulated packets, each respective encapsulated packet of the plurality of encapsulated packets comprising a priority indicator and a packet to which the priority indicator corresponds. The aggregation device extracts a corresponding plurality of packets from the plurality of encapsulated packets and generates a frame that comprises a subset of packets selected from the plurality of packets based at least in part on the priority indicators that correspond to the plurality of packets. The aggregation device transmits the frame via a second communication interface.
Power adapter for power supply unit
In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a power adapter configured for direct connection to a Power Supply Unit (PSU) installed in a network device, the power adapter comprising a power input port for receiving power on an Ethernet cable, a power converter module for converting the power received at the power input port to a PSU input power, and a power output connector for connection with a PSU power input connector.

DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD AND RELATED DEVICE
A data transmission method and a related device. The method includes: an OLT obtains a data template; then the OLT may obtain corresponding ONT data based on one or more data types defined in the data template; and then the OLT encodes the ONT data according to an XDR format and sends encoded ONT data to a management server; and the management server stores and manages the ONT data. According to the foregoing description, the OLT collects the corresponding ONT data based on the data template, and encodes and reports the ONT data according to the uniform XDR format. The embodiments define a unified statistics collecting and reporting manner of ONT data and uses standardly-defined ONT data, to help the management server store and manage the ONT data.
BUS COUPLER FOR A NETWORK AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A BUS COUPLER
A bus coupler for a network, in particular for an optical ring network, includes: a bus participant interface for data connection to at least one bus participant device; a bus receiving interface for receiving bus input data via a bus line; a bus transmitting interface for transmitting bus output data via the bus line; and a control unit for generating bus output data based on participant input data received via the bus participant interface, the bus transmission data including bus control data, and to transfer the bus output data to a further bus coupler by the bus transmitting interface. The control unit specifies a control signal based on the bus input data received by the bus receiving interface and performs a relaying of the bus input data to the further bus coupler based on the specified control signal.
MODIFICATIONLESS PACKET PRIORITIZATION FOR FRAME GENERATION
Modification less packet prioritization for frame generation is disclosed.
Full Duplex Bidirectional Transmission on Coaxial Cable in CATV Network
Systems and methods for achieving full duplex bidirectional transmission across coaxial cable in a hybrid fiber-coaxial cable TV network. Some preferred systems and method will attenuate reflections propagated within the coaxial cable. Other preferred systems may echo-cancel reflections propagated within the coaxial cable.
