A display control apparatus includes a controller configured to control a display to display a standby screen including one or more display target tabs among a plurality of tabs displayable on the standby screen, the plurality of tabs including one or more shared tabs associated with a shared attribute and one or more personal tabs associated with a personal attribute, switch a user mode of the apparatus between a public mode and a personal mode, when the user mode is set to the public mode, display the one or more display target tabs including the one or more shared tabs, and when accepting user authentication information of a particular registered user, set the user mode to the personal mode for the particular registered user, and display the one or more display target tabs including the one or more shared tabs and a personal tab associated with the particular registered user.

A display control device includes a processor and a memory coupled to or integrated with the processor and controls display of an operation screen of an information apparatus, in a case in which a selected setting item is arbitrarily selected from plural setting items displayed in a list form in the operation screen, the processor hides a setting item other than the selected setting item, displays the selected setting item on an upper side of a display region in which the plural setting items were displayed in a list form, and additionally displays a relevant setting item related to the selected setting item below the selected setting item.

An image forming apparatus includes an image reading unit. When printing a postcard is selected, a preview screen including a preview image about an image on a communication side of the postcard read by the image reacting unit is displayed on a display. At this occasion, an instruction image indicating an orientation of an address side of the postcard is also displayed. When it is instructed to turn over the preview image on the communication side, the preview screen including the preview image on the address side is displayed on the display. There is provided a method for an information processing apparatus configured to communicate with an image processing apparatus. The method includes displaying a screen of an application, wherein the screen corresponds to a screen displayed on a display unit of the image processing apparatus and is subjected to display control by the image processing apparatus, and transmitting an instruction to stop the display control to the image processing apparatus if a predetermined condition is satisfied in a state where the application is no longer operating as a user's operation target on the information processing apparatus.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium having a computer program readable by a computer of a portable device comprising a memory storing a plurality of external programs activated by the computer program and being connectable to an image forming device that executes a formation operation, the computer program causes the portable device to perform: obtaining type information indicating each type of the plurality of external programs; determining whether the corresponding external program is a first type or a second type; pre-processing of activating the external program determined as the first type and obtaining a parameter indicating a condition of generating the image data designated by a user; instructing the image forming device to execute the formation operation; and post-processing of activating the external program determined as the second type with designating the image data formed in the formation operation.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a control program, the control program, when executed by a computer of an information processing device, causes the information processing device to: perform first display processing in a case where it is determined that none of functions of the image processing apparatus is selected, the first display processing including displaying a status of the image processing apparatus; and perform second display processing in a case where it is determined that any one of the functions of the image processing apparatus is selected, the second display processing including: displaying a status of the image processing apparatus which is based on a status information relevant to a first function that is the selected function; and limiting display of a status of the image processing apparatus which is based on a status information relevant to a second function that is a function not selected.
